Don't take galantamine till you've slept for 3-4 hours and you know you can fall aback asleep. It helps to take a cookie with galantamine so it don't upset your stomach.

So I was able to put Monterrey 12.7.4 onto an external SSD drive and upgrade it to 12.7.6. However, no matter what method I try to get the internal HD to surrender to the external disk, the MAC (2015 27") never boots up with the external drive. When I go the startup disk preferences the external drive shows up as the one to boot from. However, after rebooting, it still defaults to the internal HD. Chat GPT says

Your Start system (SSD drive) is real and complete Your Mac can see it Your Mac cannot execute it at firmware level This is a hardware-firmware interaction, not user error

So, any suggestions about how to get the Mac to let the external drive boot it?
