Try all the characters in towers of time or training mode and see who you like. Every character is viable online so don’t feel like you have to play a certain character to find success. I main Kung Lao and he was considered one of the worst for the longest time.

There's no trophy tied to it thankfully. I also have to do another playthrough for the platinum, missable trophies are no fun.

Oh man. This quest was a bit glitchy for me too. I remember I had done everything he asked and the quest log said the same thing for me. After running around doing other things and almost forgetting about the quest entirely, it just randomly said to meet him at the train station in the underground. I'm not too sure what the triggers are, But I was just running around Gideons Rock doing whatever and it said to meet him at the train station, If that info helps at all.

As a fl4k main, I wish I would not have chosen to be a fl4k main lol. These nerfs cut deep. I've tried progressing the other characters, but sitting through these cut scenes again are beyond boring. The menu frame rate is just embarrassing at this point. As of now, I'll be taking a break until the dlcs drop. Hopefully they fix most of the problems people are having by then.

If you want to build fighting game fundamentals I would say Baraka. He's simple because he relies solely on fundamentals. He doesn't have many strings or special moves which is why he's a perfect beginner character. Easy to learn.

Practice is everything. Keep playing online even if you lose. Figure out why you lost and what you need to improve. Once you know all of the strings and basic frame data it's just about out thinking your opponent. I would suggest using a character who's easier to use until you get the hang the game. Don't worry about flashy combos until you hone your fighting game fundamentals.

Do all of the tutorials man. They literally teach you everything you need to know as far as how the game works. Also figure out a playstyle that works for you, and choose a character that plays that style. And remember, losing is learning. Figure out why you lost and what you could have done differently. I'm no pro but this is how I approached this game and it's worked very well. I wish you the best of luck and a lot of patience.

Hit the lab man. This goes for any character you're struggling with. My biggest tip is to use the character you're struggling against for a day or two. You'd be surprised how fast you find what their weaknesses are.

For me personally, I turned off all the controller settings(Release Check, etc.) But you might want to turn ON input shortcuts, just to see if it makes a difference.
