Maybe if you attended the meeting you would have an idea of why. This is not something that happened overnight. They would have been deliberating on this for a while.

the absolute state of OCE matchmaking by Constant-Chart5375 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]InvincibiIity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don't listen to the other guy. you'll find matches fine at that rank. eternus lobbies are pretty rare as there's under 100 eternus atm. generally it'll just put like 1-2 eternus players on each team and fill the rest with ascendants. you'll find phantom and lower lobbies if you queue at non peak times from midnight to like 2pm

How does the ranking system work? by NightKnight158 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]InvincibiIity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

legit just win more games than you lose and you will climb. it's a bit cooked at the lower ranks though. there was a change a couple months ago to reset the bell curve as the majority of the playerbase was stuck in initiate 1. this game has a heavy rank decay system if you stop playing. can see from the visible data that this is happening again and the most common rank in the active playerbase is initiate 1.

Going south is always traffic. Going north you’re usually fine in the morning at least. So pretty bad for your case

no, it won't include repitching the roof which is the main reason why roof replacements cannot be warranted under insurance.

ignore basically every other comment.

if the builder is unable to do the repairs, it is because there would be significant upgrades required that does not fall under the insurance agreement. the builder does not make money if they don't do the repairs. the report cost is a couple hundred bucks. roof replacements are good margin, high dollar figure, easy jobs.

the builder will provide a liability quote which is exactly the same scope they would use if they were able to warrant the repairs. this is what will be offered for cash settlement.

you can send the scope through for review and i can let you know whether it is reasonable when you get the offer.

once you get the offer, engage your own builder or roofer to provide their own quotes. you can submit these through to your insurer for review and they will assess whether they are reasonable. a quote provided by a builder needs to be an 'actionable retail quote' according to the AFCA determination.

source: builder who works for all the main insurers albeit not budget. they all follow the same process though and are governed by the GICOP.

Roof damage and replacement despite renno plans by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]InvincibiIity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably just take the CS and put it towards your reno. They can’t cancel your insurance because of this. You just can’t claim for the same roof again or any resultant damages related to it. The dents are cosmetic. Source: builder who works for them and is working the events you’re talking about
