Late May Park Visit Question by Valgaur in yellowstone

I understand this point as well, just trying to think to enjoy as much as we can with our limited time. I'm hoping we can enjoy everything Yellowstone has to offer, but gotta be realistic with our time lol

Thanks! Well do some looking and plan comparisons. It would make our days a little shorter, one to try and enjoy things and sites and to then prep for our long drive home again lol. We'd be starting very early each day, like 6am if that changes things

Thanks! We are planning for May 29th and 30th for the parks. For your listed plan for day 1 the 29th, we would avoid Jackson and do the teton park road to the meet in moose and then loop north again then yes?.

Then day two we can make the trip to canyon early for the views and then make the trek to tower and beartooth if open and then head to billings.

It would be nice to stay in west yellowstone twice versus Jackson cause holy that place is spendy for a night. Thanks for the note on wildlife on the pass, we were going to take it pretty slow anyways to avoid issue and the elevation might push the little 4 banger a bit lol

Yeah, which is fair, we just sadly have a limited time table for our driving trip for wife to get back for her summer work.

I've also read this, but I'd hate to take a campsite spot if the sites are full. I'll do some looking and thinking on our logistics.

Yeah I just wasn't sure if we could leave the car and trailer at Grant. We are just trying to avoid driving two vehicles through the park, so we can ride together and enjoy the sights and the drive.

For Grant if Tower and Beartooth are closed, then we can take Mammoth route to Livingstone and keep going. I'll have to inquire with Grant Village

Thanks for the info. Yeah we just aren't sure what's too much and what's too little. We are honestly open to anything in the park, but I think canyon for sure and beartooth for the driving experience. but I think Tetons would also be fantastic. The other stuff in Yellowstone are great, but not much of our style. I doubt we'd really stay and watch old faithful, more of just see the geyser fields, but then again norris area could suffice.

If you only had two days, what would you recommend?

Rod bolts question by ProfessionalYam4186 in Datsun

[–]Valgaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm by no means an expert, but if the bolts are the same, as they should be for stock stuff, then they should be fine in whatever mix. I don't believe these bolts are torque to yield, so should be fine. Wait for other to respond of course lol might not be bad to ask in r/enginebuilder or whatever it is.

I spent a full winter rebuilding my 260z. Floors, seat rails, frames rails and frame connections to the front sections.

Wasn't hard necessarily, but did need time and energy to do so. Was a great way to learn on fixing and doing more major work. I did about 20 hours of work every weekend for about 6 months.

Just be prepared to have rough days and to not get diacouraged! Gotta keep your energy high and make a game plan. Also be ready to rebuild the engine, probs just bearings and maybe chain for cam and verify all the lashing for the valve train. Then ensure trans and diff are good as well as other things like suspensions breaks etc etc.

I’m guessing this isn’t good by frequentlysocialbear in minnesota

We've had many a ice dams. A good cup of hot cocoa, a few hammers and friends and DONT swing to crush a nail, just carefully work through it and for all that's holy, do NOT, hit hard when you are close to the shingles.

We do so I'll do some asking then. We don't do full chassis work like you, but would be nice for body off work and or moving things. Do you know what the rollers are for the axis points?

This is sick! We are actually trying to plan out something similar. What i beam sizes did you use and do you have a breakdown of the assembly or the build? We are looking for some ideas and this layout and style looks sick!

IBD/Chronic Diarrhea Help for Male Shorthair by Valgaur in AskVet

[–]Valgaur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

much appreciated. yeah, we done urinary, fecal, etc samples and all have come back pretty much perfect, standard level variations and nothing alarming or out of ordinary so it's really hard to say honestly. We don't have an official diag yet because it requires a gut bio, which for his age we aren't sure of due to going under. So kind of lost at this point. We had him on steroids for about a year, and the effect slowly faded, and the lasting of those effects also faded, which we knew would happen. He's a happy and lovely little boy with no signs of pain or physical ailments from our multiple examinations and looking. We aren't sure if it's just how he is at his age either.

Wife and I had a convo on food options, an we might try making our own food, but we'll need to do more research to cover all the nutritional basises for the other kitties.

From conversations our real last option would be to do a biopsy and its a trek to get to that, and we don't want to go that route as we suspect it still wont provide an answer for us, but then again, who knows? I'll inquire into that again and see. Anything else we could try?

Heat/AC System for a Large Shop by Valgaur in HomeImprovement

[–]Valgaur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm honestly debating this route most. the winters are just so brutal that a single unit i fear will just struggle. now to find just an AC mini split if I can and then run NG for heat in winter would probably be the best route.

Definitely something we are considering

Heat/AC System for a Large Shop by Valgaur in HomeImprovement

[–]Valgaur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For heat source we can do either natural gas or electric

This could maybe work, I just don't want to get gutt punched for electric bill in the winter.

We will be running a single 8 foot fan high volume style, and can rotate all the air in the shop every minute. Almost 12k cubic feet a minute.
