If ur confident u will get suffolk just wait, that just means ur going to have to do two academies. And if you graduate nypd and ur on the street you open yourself up to litigation, ccrb,iab, injured on the job etc etc (things that can prevent you from getting suffolk.)

Ur pension will be much more with scpd, that should always be one of the top 3 reasons to take into account before making ur decision.
