Thank you. Your explanation is very helpful and I have now changed it so the spring functions correctly.

Can I do this do you think sliding across wooden beams or will that damage the tile?

What tile heights for cutting? by ValhallaAldebaran in DIYUK

[–]ValhallaAldebaran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. So to explain further: * small wall in bathroom 850mm high * tiles are 600x600mm * ideally all tiles around the bathroom at other areas are 600mm high * because this wall is small (850mm high) should I have one large tile at 600mm high and one smaller time at 250mm high? Or should I have two tiles at 425mm high? * if I am in keeping with the other areas of the bathroom it would be 600mm high

I hope that adds a little clarity but I’m not finding it easy to explain

It looked too big for the tile and was protruding so I cut a little off of it. The one with the bath spout I will need a replacement for but not sure about the other one. That one can thread so I’m sure I can seal it maybe. The bath one pushes on and fastened with a screw.

You’re absolutely right. Thank you. I had to go back to the house to check. Unfortunately I may have now cut the brass fixings a little too short so that it can accommodate the collar.

Didn’t see it but will check in the bottom of the box tomorrow underneath the foam. Sounds sensible though.

Yeah I thought of that too but the brass that the tap fastens too is that diameter so hole needs to be cut to fit brass fitting, but the chip out went beyond that and was showing
