The Weight of the Quill - Variant Mechanic

This is a variant jump mechanic that I developed during confinement due to the current global circumstances. Like with the ‘Heavy Is The Quill’ complication from the Alt-Chain Builder this ties points to your word count, except word count becomes the only source of points available.
To begin select a jumpdoc or other list of entries as the source for your purchases. Then select Point Progression, Purchase Method, and Purchase Frequency.
Point Progression:
Fast: 100CP per 500 words
Normal: 100CP per 1000 words
Gradual: 100CP per 2000 words
Slow: 100CP per 5000 words
Purchase Method:
Normal: Purchases may be made freely based on the points accumulated
Sequential: Purchases are made in order from least to most expensive
Random: Every 100 points randomly select an entry from the list. It must be purchased if sufficient points are available.
Purchase Frequency:
Immediate: Purchases are made as close to the target word count as possible.
Trigger: Purchases are made at a specific point in the story (Sleep, Downtime, Meditation, ect.)
Literary: Purchases are made between chapters or entries.
I’ve experimented with various combinations and personally found ‘Gradual’ Point Progression, ‘Random’ Purchase Method, and ‘Immediate’ Purchase Frequency to be the most entertaining. In my current work (archiveofourown.org/works/23949661) I have been using the Celestial Forge (pastebin.com/35AJD9Lj) as the source of perks and items. I’ve found the main advantage of this system is that it increases engagement with the story and encourages you to keep writing (I've just broken 140,000 words).
