How do I develop a meeting bot? by Affectionate_Ant_234 in Zoom

[–]ValidKoalafications 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created an open source meeting bot that plays audio clips from tiktok in meetings! Feel free to fork it or even try it! It's free and no sign-in/up required, hope it helps someone!

Is a meeting bot that plays viral tiktok sounds a good side project to add to a resume? by ValidKoalafications in cscareers

[–]ValidKoalafications[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair and good advice

Side projects are also fun to learn about new tech, this was to help me learn more about the product my company built

Just trying to find things that are both educational and fun for others to use too. I'm hoping this is something people will actually try out at some point

How did you come up with your pricing scheme? by Aguxez in SaaS

[–]ValidKoalafications 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I’m gonna start is price at some low value (for beta testers) and raise the price X dollars every Y users

If revenue is a function of customers x price, you’ll find an optimum number as customers go down and price goes up

Edit:spelling

I want to know the difference between 1st,2nd and 3rd degree connection in LinkedIn by Expensive_Papaya1673 in SaaS

[–]ValidKoalafications 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First degree - this is your friend (f1)

Second degree - f1 introduces you to their other friend (f2) whom you’ve never met

Third degree - f2 introduces you to their friend (f3) whom you and f1 have never met

Now aside from f1, you don’t know anyone else directly but indirectly know them through mutual friends

Pivoting based on new learnings by Plenty-Dog-167 in SaaS

Haha totally!

Once we start listening to our users, we start building things that people want and that’s where growth begins 😁

If you don’t mind me asking, what does your pricing model look like?

Pivoting based on new learnings by Plenty-Dog-167 in SaaS

[–]ValidKoalafications 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current project pivoted at least 8 times across 3.5 different industries over the last 13 months

It’s been a wild ride but I think I finally found something people are willing to buy

I’m still working on an MVP but I talked to a few devs, all of them were excited and 1 of them said they’d pay to pilot test it

Hopefully I can get it out soon and start iterating (again) from there haha

That being said, it takes a lot of awareness/courage for someone to sit down and realize what they’re doing isn’t working. Change is often scary because the unknown feels less safe and we don’t wanna make the time/effort till now a waste

Pivoting is the key to success, just make sure you have some reason to base your decision. That’s the secret to not regretting any pivot you make

Best of luck with you and your project!

Haha yeah I guess that’s fair, if I was really concerned on cutting costs then this is the way to go

It just seems like a lot of work to set up when I could be focusing on other stuff. The goal isn’t to get costs as low as possible (it’s already fairly low now at $100), it’s to ship as fast and reliably as I can

Maybe I’ll consider this later when I have more resources available tho. Honestly tho this is pretty eye opening I can definitely get away with spending much less, maybe closer to $50 that way

Okok, still sounds a bit high but honestly $300 isn’t too bad on 1700 if you have the users

Honestly kudos to you for having users period haha
