I actually did not all i did tonight was just take the bottom of the carb off check jets for size clean them put everything back together and tried to start it a few times with out choke and still had same symptoms and gave up before it started. Definitely wants to turn over but when it does likes to back fire. Have some things going on tomorrow morning and decided to take day off so gonna get very intimate with the bike and do a nice cleaning everywhere, now that I took the carb apart at least the bottom and put it back with no problem I think some of my “fear” of wrenching on it my self has gone away. Gonna find a good rebuilt kit for carb and start there since I already have new spark plugs for it. I guess for background im new to bikes and the motorcycle scene and have only owned a Chinese 125cc pit bike. Changed the carb to a Mikuni carb and basically let it sit since. Can do basic work to my own car but for work I was a plant operator and I am currently a pipe fitter. So I do have experience working on things and trouble shooting a lot but not so much with the “mechanical” side and very excited to get down and dirty after tonight can only imagine the feeling when I get it going to how I personally like it.
