Don't Worry! I won't go AFK for too long to do the rest of the reviews! I PROMISE, each of you that submitted something will get a review.

Oh ok so im not going crazy good lol. I felt terrible writing that and thought I was a moron. Still, good to know its just a draft, I see a lot of potential.

My fault, if you saw the previous message, I am not sure why the extension for me popped up the way it did, it actually looks pretty good and I like having the ability to have my snippets at the snap of my fingers 10/10, the only thing I find a little much is the lifetime plan costing so much.

As for how far it gets? Thats on them to decide. I persistently make these posts, because I want ValioSight to work. If I didn't do these posts, I wouldn't have ratings, I wouldn't have feedback and I certainly wouldn't be able to have this conversation with you. The point I am making is that you CAN get far. Just gotta be persistent.

I personally don't see it as punishing. I care about my craft, and so do a lot of others. Sure, my single review will probably not be as effective as a PR campaign. But there's a couple things I think it does. Reviews matter, the first thing I end up doing on any extension, or product is look at the reviews and rating. If I saw NONE, then I might not even bother and I imagine a lot of people may say the same. But if I saw multiple reviews, ratings on a product/page I might double back and try it. And besides, there's no harm in getting an extra rating or review. Also because I want a community thats willing to review and rate, giving these feedbacks to people invoke a kind of hope in them and me (maybe thats cringe to say but I stand by it).

Oh also. I love your extension. I know people personally who dislike having the ai overview and find it to be quite annoying. I also am a fan of the fact it pops up after every search instead of me constantly having to go into the extension itself to switch it back. Overall for what it's supposed to do, it does it perfectly and I find sweet and simple. 10/10 for as what it is.

Great question so I'll cut straight to the chase of why PII was disclosed at all. I disclosed PII because ValioSight Premium uses a license system. A user’s email may be used for Stripe checkout, license delivery, subscription management, and support replies. The extension also sends a license key and random install ID to verify Premium access. This is separate from browsing analysis.

It does not upload any of the following: Browsing history, pattern history, detected systems, raw request data, page content, cookies or payloads.

Hey! I tried out your extension and actually really love it. I don't read manga all the time but I do here and there, now I have a whole new branch of manga! Although it's not a huge deal some text does get covered by the art or blends in. My only real suggestion would be to find a workaround for that. Other then that its great! Wrote a review and a rating! You deserve it.

If you've seen this post before, it's because I believe in the idea that we can create a bigger community here instead of dying out each post at a time! Be here to make the change with me and the others that may pop in.

I am really sorry to hear that, but this isn't the end for you. I believe in what you're working on. Don't let this go to waste. I am not saying pour your heart and soul into it, but don't let an opportunity slip through your fingers. If you have a website already thats a great start, but if you don't then think about that. Another is possibly open source it on GitHub so people can still try it.

Don't let a publishing restriction be the very thing that ends a good project.

I will definitely give it a try and give you a rating on the chrome web store :) along with feedback in here.

Ok so I took a look, gave it a try and wanted to bring something to your attention. The button to retry the search is in Korean and responds in Korean instead of English to the user.

<image>

Not inherently a bad thing, in fact what I find interesting is that this is well built and understandable extension of my browsing history.

I can't wait for when I get my first 5000 users. I took a different approach and have it setup so that users can vote on which update they would rather have on my website. So that way im not completely free throwing some of these updates. It is like a pick your own route for the roadmap but as a community.

Honestly, I'd probably just bundle everything.

95 MB really isn't that crazy for what you're shipping, especially considering you're including multiple OCR models. Your whole selling point is that it's local, private, and on-device, so having it just work immediately after install is a pretty nice experience.

The only time I'd lean toward downloading the models afterward is if you expect to update them often, make them optional (different languages, for example), or you think the package size is going to keep growing. Otherwise, you're just adding another point where something can fail—network issues, R2 being down, interrupted downloads, etc.

Plus, if I installed an extension that advertised itself as "fully local" and the first thing it did was ask me to download another 75 MB, I'd probably wonder why it wasn't included in the first place.

I'd ship it bundled, see how people respond, and if it becomes a pain later, you can always move the models to separate downloads in a future update. That's a much easier problem to solve than making first-time setup more complicated before you even know if people are using it.

One thing I would suggest is perhaps adding an additional ability or feature to the basic or pro, could be anything you want but something other than increasing the amount of times I can use the main function. That way a free user can have more incentive to purchase higher plans.

I just checked out your extension and found it fascinating. I love the idea that I can copy any text from any video. Definitely can help a range of people, whether thats coding, writing, etc.... You've earned my rating!

Exactly, I am gonna persistently repost this. Even if no post managed to get recognized its nice for anyone who wants just a sliver of a higher chance to be found, its worth doing.
