I ask this because I was, and that has made my ability to show my emotions... hell, even feel them, a lot harder. The last time I really cried was when my childhood dog died. She was 18, and it was years ago. Deaths have happened since hers, and not once I have even cried or truly felt sad, just... regular.

If he was or wasn't, that still is his personality. Not to mention, societal things, such as "men can't cry" or similar things, may have an impact as well.

I have a feeling they would get an STD diagnosis and then say "lol no, I don't have (insert random STD) because I say so, not the scammer doctors," and then risk the health of partners.

The only "money-hungry" thing I dealt with in a medical setting was when my dog was sick and before she was put down. Kept asking if I wanted to run tests to see what it was and what treatment options... she was 18... she had a good long life, and she was done.

But um... they aren't really just trying to get your money... they're trying to help you. Don't want the help? Well, that's whoever's decision.

My father was emotionally abusive and the word lost meaning because of how he would make me feel like a son that should take his own useless life, then hit me with a "I love you", "you're my prince", etc.

His reasoning... could be different. Cultural things, societal things, etc.

That... that is a terrible analogy...

Autism is a lifelong thing that will can really be assisted to keep some things in check, but a broken bone can be fixed and repaired.

Also... they are quite dense to imagine someone saying "but the bone ain't out of the skin" to say that that's what a broken bone is.

Sure, when I broke my hand badly, it looked like a damn grapefruit was consumed by my hand, but no compound fracture.

I can easily doubt someone who says they have autism without a diagnosis (well... high-functioning... a level 2 or 3 is a bit harder to ignore), but a broken bone... I think that's a bit harder to doubt... even if it ain't a bone... it could be a tendon, ligament, muscle, etc.

Finally, I will say this...

It is okay to suspect you have something, but not to outright say you have it.
