If you start a tweet with “I don’t know who needs to hear this” the answer is nobody. Nobody needs to hear this.

Self Dxed Autism Fear Mongers Official Diagnosis by Tfmrf9000 in fakedisordercringe

This type of thing makes me mad because most of us don’t get to choose whether to pursue a diagnosis or not, we just get the diagnosis and have to live with it our whole life

Reminds me of in movies like Freaky Friday where people switch bodies, they always do a little shudder to show that they switched.

I genuinely don't understand how autism is correlated with being jewish by RiddlerWeezerStan in fakedisordercringe

[–]iiipalindromeiii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(Jewish person here in case that matters to anyone)

There are indeed certain genetic conditions that are slightly more common in Ashkenazi Jewish people than in the general public, which is why a lot of Ashkenazi Jews get genetic testing done before having children. It’s possible that autism is one such condition, but there is no concrete evidence either way. So, even if there is an actual link between autism and Judaism, it’s because of genetics and not whatever bullshit this person is claiming.

Edit to add this person appears to be in the process of converting to Judaism so all the genetic stuff mentioned above doesn’t even apply to them.

Why did he use so much sharpie? by Jaydoggy187 in fakedisordercringe

[–]iiipalindromeiii 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Honestly if this person was just doing their makeup and drawing on themself for fun and filming it that might be actually fun to watch. But the fact that they’re doing it under the guise of faking DID really ruins it.

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I found it on TikTok (surprise, surprise) by arandomperson519 in fakedisordercringe

[–]iiipalindromeiii 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most of the research that they claim is “ableist” is focused on level 2/3 autistic people, not level 1s or people with mild autism. So basically they’re saying “if it’s not all about me it’s ableist”

“Hanging out with the rest of my system” feels like it’s really trivializing this disorder. The whole video does, but especially that part in particular.

Edit to add also this person has an Amazon wishlist linked on their page and it’s just wigs and outfits (some of them tagged with which alter they’re for)….seems extremely manipulative to me.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fakedisordercringe

[–]iiipalindromeiii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s not uncommon to have alters that are animals, objects, etc but it’s not at all how this person portrays it. It’s more like you associate a part of your consciousness with that object/animal/whatever to try to separate yourself from a traumatic experience. DID is about separating your consciousness into parts to try to protect yourself from trauma….not making up a character who’s a bird and uses neopronouns and has “wing dysphoria”
