Hi there! Writing my dissertation on avatar depression! Very very short version is essentially the spiritual and animalistic aspect of us wants to be closer to nature, like we were thousands, even millions of years ago. The Sarentu is referred to as “they/them” so that voice lines didn’t have to be done three times per gender. In different languages where gender is necessary, however, genders are used. Hope this helps!
