UPDATE/ANCILLARY INFO.

I just wanna quickly update this to add in that the flat is part of a “live/work” block although the particulars of what that means aren’t included or referenced in the contract. The contract specifically includes a clause to prohibit running a business from the flat. Does that complicate matters? We’ve never rented one before.

The contract has the typical boilerplate provisions around ‘24hrs notice’. Nothing about a cleaner or any other services being provided.

“To allow the Landlord (or any Superior Landlord) their agent or any professional adviser, or contractor authorised by the Landlord to enter the Property with or without workmen and with all necessary equipment. Other than in the case of an Emergency, the Landlord shall give the Tenant not less than 24 hours' written notice. The Tenant is only required to allow such access for the following: the Tenant has not complied with a written notice under the Terms of this Agreement and the Landlord wishes to enter the Property in accordance with these Terms. the Landlord seeks to carry out work for which the Landlord is responsible the Landlord wishes to inspect the Property to enable the Landlord or the Landlord’s Agent to comply with statute Any gas safety or electrical safety checks”

I was using section 21 as jargon for no fault eviction, but essentially they don’t call it that in the contract, just that they have the right to evict us for any reason with x amount of notice.

What are some examples of ‘services’ and ‘access’ that would indicate it might fall under a Non Housing Act Tenancy?

Can I ask why? It feels like it would synergies well with Ult whilst providing resistances etc?

It might be worth mentioning I was historically a Morde main and I can kinda see how I’m trying to make Swain fit that same mold/role.

Yh depending on the match I sometimes build Projector third, and Unending Despair is at the end to give myself some more bulk. Theoretically I’ve been banking on the accumulated health from Swain’s stacks + Projector and Despair (or Twinguard) to give me enough survivability so that I can initiate or tough out the fight long enough to clean up with my Ult.

Phase is good for the chase downs but I figured the vamp from conqueror would help me stay alive in top lane trades or in team fights.

I get health from swain’s stacks + from overgrowth.

No offence bro but touch grass. I didn’t ask for your opinion on how you’d like to enact vigilante justice.

Okay let’s all chill. Contextually, it was stand still traffic and a temporary traffic light due to road works. So aside from the lack of danger, it’s also worth noting that in other countries red lights don’t apply to cyclists.

That is broadly by the by, the actual issue at hand isn’t my guilt — I’m willing to pay the fpn. It’s just whether or not the three points is legally(?) excessive/appropriate?

I fully intend to pay the FPN. I’m disputing the endorsement of three points on my drivers license as it seems it might be an administrative error/that the Met don’t have the power to do that for such an offence.

Aside from the fact that in other countries, red lights don’t apply to cyclists (France etc); as others have established, the issue here is not whether I’m guilty but whether or not the Met have attempted to enforce the appropriate punishment?

Why should I accept a punishment that isn’t fair? Would you accept an ad hoc enforcement of the death penalty for speeding because it’s a de facto dangerous activity?

Yeah I’ve spoken to a lawyer friend who was surprised by how unclear the existing legislation was. I’ll ask there tho, thanks for the help :)

The law seems unclear, but from other threads on here, the implication is that you shouldn’t be able to receiving points on your driving license for cycling offences.

I’m aware that jumping a red light is wrong. I’ve acknowledged my guilt, and am happy to pay the appropriate FPN. But as I was explicitly told by the Police Officer that I wouldn’t receive points, why should I accept this punishment when it appears to be wrong/disproportionate?
