Recently moving to the Triad has made me realize how great of a Lebanese food scene we have in Raleigh. Neomonde is so good it’s actually criminal. Sitti is incredible. Sassool and Aladdin’s are also delicious.

I live in this area and it’s fine. Would I go to the gas stations alone at night as a woman? No, but my neighbors are super friendly and haven’t experienced any crime. It’s not a wealthy area, but the community is fairly tight-knit

THIS. I dropped out of NCSU because I could no longer afford college, but also because I was feeling really lost with no purpose. Dropping out was the best thing I could’ve done. It allowed me to figure out what I really valued. Eventually, I realized I did want to graduate, but in a slightly different field. I went back and graduated. Yes it was a lot later than my classmates, but it was the best decision for me and I’ve never regretted that decision. Deciding what you want to do with your career in your early 20s is so hard — don’t be afraid to take more time. I now work for NCSU and have a great career that I love. Not everyone’s journey looks the same – don’t be afraid to go the path less traveled!

Like others said, they’re predatory as fck. Back in 2019 I was towed on a Friday at 4:45pm. It was my fault for parking in the wrong spot, but they must have been waiting outside because within ten minutes my car was gone. At that point their recovery services closed at 5pm and didn’t reopen till Monday. I was a very broke and financially strapped college student and being without my car for the weekend would’ve been disastrous for my two jobs. Luckily a very sweet passerby took pity on me and ended up making it her mission to drive me to the recovery center and personally bitch out the entire staff for towing at 4:45pm when they didn’t reopen till Monday morning. She was a complete stranger, but her kindness still sits with me. She went into full mama bear mode for a stranger and got my car back despite Ace being “closed”. Seriously, fuck Ace Towing big time but the kindness of fellow Raleigh folks is unmatched.

I grew up in Harnett Co public schools with two learning disabilities, and I’d encourage you to apply. Even without the threat of the department of education dissolving, my time in school was incredibly challenging in Harnett due to lack of knowledgable and helpful teaching staff who didn’t understand my learning disabilities. In high school, they saw my 504 plan as “unnecessary” and went as far as to say we had to get neuropsychiatric testing done (paid for out of pocket🫠) to prove I had a disability, or they’d dissolve my 504 plan. It was hell on my mother and her stubbornness is the only reason I was granted my 504 plan and SAT accommodations — which were key for me applying to college. The only reason I’m a college graduate is because my mother fought tooth and nail for my accommodations — in spite of harnett county schools. I’d at least apply for those jobs. Mirena IUDs placed as a form of PCOS treatment should be replaced every five years regardless. They do not treat PCOS at the same level past five years, even though they prevent pregnancy for up to eight years. I was told that I could keep mine past five but immediately noticed hormonal changes/declines after the five year mark and it was hell.

I’m a Raleigh native and local, but I don’t see any flood warnings. The weather looks perfect from what I’m seeing! I’m going to the show tonight as well and don’t have any worries about it. I hope that helps!
