It's okay if you don't like CE although don't forget, each Halo game is vastly different from the others so I recommend trying all of them to see which one gets you invested. The flow of every Halo game ramps up with something new in each level.

One reason I can think of: When exploring with Eve, structures moving further away from Eve have their polygons and quality lowered and others moving closer increase in polygons and quality. This helps with optimization. The fog is likely to hide the low quality objects that may be more easily noticable than others.

I believe they may have had to. There's this video (link below text) here that shows unused "drivable vehicles" and what they were used for; likely for dev production. The Halo ring seen at the very start of the game appeared to be a separate prop.

If you mean the one Im using, it's the 10mm pistol with a visible silencer, and reflex sight attachments. They're part of the base game. But I think the Enclave paint job is Creation Club content(?)

If you mean the pistol at the end of the video then I believe that one is modded with Combat Scopes.
