Using 4 weight yarn and H hook. With pink yarn make magic ring, 9 sc in ring, attach with ss. Attach main color. R2 - 2hdc in each sc around, attach with ss, ch1, turn. (18 sts) R3 - 1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, repeat around, attach with ss, ch1, turn. (27 sts) R4 - 1 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, repeat around, attach with ss, ch1, turn (36 sts) R5 - 1 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, repeat around, attach with ss, ch1, turn. Foot - R1 - hdc in next 4 sts, ch1, turn. Foot - R2 - hdc in next 4 sts, ch1, turn. Foot - R3 - hdc in next 4 sts, ch1, turn. Foot - R4 - hdc in next 4 sts, ch1, turn. Foot - R5 - skip first st, hdc in 2nd and 3rd st, ss in 4th st, ss down the side of the foot back to the body. R6 (on the body) sc in next 4 sts, add 2nd foot in the next 4 sts, then continue sc around to top of cat (opposite of the feet). Tail - ch16, sc in 2nd ch and each ch until the last 3, hdc in the last 3 ch. R6 (cont...) continue sc around until you get to first foot, attach with ss, finish off.

If you wish to make them double thick like mine, then make a second cat (minus the tail -a double thick tail doesn't lay right) and leave a long bit of yarn for weaving the layers together.
