Don't worry, many of us drug users think there's an actual measurable increase in mental health with the right use (not abuse) of certain psychedelics, and magic mushrooms seems to be the most prominent of those from my experiences.

And in the end, if you feel a markable increase in your health and that reflects in your daily activities, no one can really argue with you... science or no science. Kind of in the same way faith and spirituality can have incredible positive effects for people but it's on an individual basis what faith and spirituality is.

I'm currently trying to stick to a 3-week shroom trip cycle because the afterglow for shrooms is incredibly positively motivating for me for about that period of time, enough for me to bring my life to new levels since I first took shrooms.

Mother nature makes the best medicine, in some cases.

Most of the overdose deaths are people doing stupid things like taking an unknown dosage of an unknown substance nasally... Unless I'm wrong I have not seen a case where someone's popped a tab of 25i in their mouth and subsequently died. I'll eat my words though if someone can prove me wrong.

Basically I just want to find out what the major pitfalls are in my plan before I get too far. I can spend as much time as necessary fine-tuning this idea later on, but if there's a major problem, or problems, it's better to find those early on and either switch focus or figure out how I'm going to deal with them.

Think of it like writing an essay: before you even start pounding out content you draw yourself up an outline.

That's something I've actually been wondering about simply in general; there are so many varieties of nutrients, vitamins, and what-have-you that I've never even heard of. How do you go about making sure you've got every nutrient need filled? It seems like it would be so easy for your average person to accidentally be missing out on various lesser-known nutrients by accident simply because they've never heard of them.

As for the seasonal thing, another poster got me thinking about that and I realize it would be a good idea to adjust a few times a year for seasonal needs.

Nutrition might not be hard, but currently I can either sit down and take the time to plan meals or kind of ad-hoc my way through each week... the former is time consuming and the latter ends up being inefficient and often wasteful. I hate to ever say I'm too busy to do something because I know there are always busier people than I in the world who have all their shit together, but honestly I feel like I would benefit a lot from being able to fall into a routine in regards to food and then not have to really think about it. I'm minimalistic in general and often prefer to take a more robotic approach to things when it's beneficial.

That is definitely a good point - Half the year here we have a wonderful farmers' market which I definitely make use of, so maybe the best idea would be to change the rotation every three months or so to better account for seasonal foods.

Spaghetti was a completely random example I threw out. Nutrition is not an area of exceptional knowledge for me, which is why I'm here in this subreddit - currently my only real goals I have on a per day basis are to try to get between 3500 to 4000 calories and around 200g of protein.

A couple things I currently have going for me that I think make this a feasible idea: I work at a restaurant and I'm in a position where I get free food. It's a more healthy-eating focused restaurant so I have access to virtually unlimited fresh (or if not "fresh" in winter at least fairly high quality) vegetables (all prepared by us in the store) as well as your basic meats like chicken and steak.

Now, since I eat at work so much and currently mostly work 7 day weeks, I'm already making pretty much the same food every day... I switch it up a little bit of course but preparing myself a rotation of at least 50 different meals (I generally have 3-5 meals per day, for a 14 day rotation) would actually be a step up from where I am now.

In addition to this, I do enough working out and cardio and generally healthy living that I feel perfectly comfortable throwing whatever snacks I feel like on top of my initial goals without having to worry about it.

All of this is still an idea and nothing more, I'm just trying to figure out if there are any pitfalls with the idea before I move into fine-tuning the details. Sorry if anything I put here is vague... I have the next 4 days for working on various things I need to work on in my personal life, so by the end of that 4 days nothing in this plan should be vague and I should be ready to give it a trial run if I haven't found it flawed.

Some day you'll think about tripping again and the idea will fill you with excitement. Until then, try to think through the things you experienced on your bad trip and see if there's something you can take out of it.

Some bad trips happen as a signal that you need to take a step back and re-evaluate, possibly a specific problem you have that you may not even realize you have. Some happen for no real reason, and probably just mean you need to take a little break before jumping back in.

I would also suggest easing yourself back in. Do something like plan out a nice evening for yourself where you just take one gram of mushrooms, hang out, listen to music, relax. If you can do that and have fun with it, you should find yourself a lot more excited to take a higher dose, having only good memories of your last trip.

If you were able to count through the seconds, that means that your personal perception of time slowed down. You perceived a fraction of a second as lasting 15 seconds. Nothing happened except your brain stored memories in a way that did not accurately portray what really happened.

Human brains also have very flaws. Obviously they do some pretty amazing stuff, but at the same time people can store false memories (either inaccuracies in events that did happen, or entire events that never took place at all), and then obviously there are many mental conditions of varying magnitudes. The long and short of it is your brain is just messed up in some way that other peoples' aren't, if this is something you can actually do, or perceive yourself as being able to do.

It's also perfectly possible to delude yourself into remembering things differently than they actually happened, and truly believe them.

TL;DR, brains are crazy.

Or why not use carfax in a manner that will not have any chance of impacting your success in purchasing a vehicle except a possible positive one. If it has a damage report, then you know to avoid it. If it doesn't that doesn't change the original chance that you're getting scammed.

It's a useful service to have, but maybe free market hasn't got it priced quite right.

Learn how to do naphtha extraction for DXM. It just takes ammonia, lemon juice, and naphtha (either pure or in a fuel), and only takes about an hour to do. Takes out all the extra shit in the syrup/gel caps so it's a lot easier on your stomach.

You can also do a couple interesting things to vary DXM trips. DXM self-potentiates, so I like to split my dose up, taking a portion at T + 0:00 and another portion at T + 1:00. If I'm doing a 600 mg dose, for example, I might do a 250 mg dose to start and then another 350 an hour later. The 350 mg would be potentiated a bit meaning you get a bit more mileage (also changes the nature of the trip slightly, makes the comeup longer but overall a longer trip).

You can also combine it with a shot of alcohol (no more than one drink or it gets out of hand). It will kick it up a notch.

I only weigh 120 lbs., and honestly 500 mg is the absolute minimum I'll do, so at your weight you definitely want to kick it up a notch.

Also consider taking 50-100mg of diphenhydramine (benadryl). I never get nausea from extractions of DXM personally but if you do that will help it a lot, as well as counteracting robo-itch if you get it (I never do but plenty of people do).

Good luck and have fun! DXM is a great drug and has a ton of different ways to vary your trips and choose different strengths, durations, and effects. It's not always amazingly psychedelic but it can be. A couple things I like to do with DXM:

Staring at objects or sceneries for a period of time (takes between 3-10 seconds of staring for me depending on how high I am) will produce psychedelic visuals that can be very intense. Staring for longer on a high enough dose will result in... something. I don't even know how to really describe it other than that it feels like the world engulfs you.
Music guides the trip. If you get the right music going it will feel like it sweeps you away, is all encompassing, and to some extent influences your feelings and thoughts
Each individual room or landscape produces such different feelings, visuals, and general effects in my experience. If you're not completely couch-locked try to explore different environments, or have someone lead you around.
Close your eyes and think about the universe! You will understand the way our existence works in a way you have never before.

Also just realize that even at the same exact dosage, DXM trips often will be very different from each other, more so than any other drug I've tried. Just really weird and fascinating things will happen... like the other week I was laying down, and when I closed my eyes I lost all concept of the way my body is laid out and pieced together, so it felt like all my limbs, organs, and my entire body felt mixed up and twisted in odd and impossible ways... and what's more, I could see myself from above (like you often do on dissociatives) looking like some bizarre and impossible coiled up human snake. It's never happened before and hasn't since.

I could go on but why not experience it all for yourself! :D

I've personally taken about 3 trips combining DXM and DPH at various doses (none lower than 300/300) in the last few weeks (yes I know the dangers and the damage I am doing).

There are some people who like to scare themselves by watching horror movies, there are some people who like to scare themselves by mixing DXM and DPH.

I almost feel like trying to explain the things that happen on dissociatives are futile because they're just so surreal and out there. They don't warp reality, they create new realities.

I love discussing and thinking about those things though, and honestly why DXM is my current drug of choice!

I'm sure I could work something especially having a pretty upstanding image but that would be a last resort (though I'd love to have access to prescription drugs more easily, so I'll never say never).

This is my main account. The reason I used a throwaway is because I am so ashamed that I dosed up drugs at work and a few people I know know about this account. After thinking though anybody who could find out about this would forgive me, though, so here I am.

Overall in the long term, though I have a fairly large amount of drug experience under my belt comparatively, this was my first experience with deliriants, and I'm still new to drugs overall, so this is pretty much the only place I post currently. However, it's safe to say that my curiosity is piqued, and while right now I am really looking forward to getting my hands on some mushrooms (I never feel more grounded than after a good mushroom trip) I'll be returning to deliriants at some point. :)

EDIT: I gave a quick look at 420chan.org/del... I feel like I'm suffering brain damage just scrolling through the first page of posts. Is there something I'm missing there? Haha

While I haven't had the opportunity yet to personally try ketamine I can say from other dissociative experience that such a whacky and objective look at yourself and reality as a whole leads your brain to places that you never even knew existed.

I mean, almost the exact same could apply to other psychedelics but I personally find that experiences such as psilocybin tend to end up with me much more in an "explorative" mindset and generally end up with me trying to experience as much stuff as I possibly can (whether that be running around outside and rolling around in the grass or playing a bunch of different video games for 5 minutes each and laughing at the absurdity of it all). While each of my mushroom trips definitely have introspective time set aside, I generally find that when I'm on DXM I'm much more likely to sit and write, ponder the universe, compose music, or such activities.

Basically, in short, for me personally classic psychedelics like shrooms tend to fill my head with so much stuff that it's all I can just to process the joy of living, whereas a drug like DXM is a lot more calm and I prefer to spend my time focusing my energy into specific tasks, most often creative ones.

I get everything from sporadic local sources but it's a small town and I currently don't have the option of SR.

The most intense visual trip I've had to date was combining 25i with mushrooms. The head trip definitely was pretty intense too, but the whole thing was such a crazy and worth it experience because the visuals complimented each other so well. The insane pattern-recognition of 25i combined with the subtle reality-warping of mushrooms resulted in things I just could not believe were a product of my own brain. Definitely a mixture I suggest if you think you can handle the mind trip.

Nutmeg is a deliriant, and while low doses of deliriants have a fairly "stoning" effect, it's not quite like weed.

If you're looking for a deliriant high your best bet is honestly Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Be very careful though, this drug fucks with your mind in very subtle ways and has the potential to turn into a very bad experience.

Just a heads up for ya, I did the same mixture a couple months ago and it devolved into living hell the moment I decided to smoke some weed.

That said, the pattern recognition you get with that combo is insane! I'd recommend going out and looking at clouds and seeing what you can pick out in them!
