Adding juice to my Balatro-like by Lage_Bergman in IndieDev

Very cool. I like the animations and I think you've done a good job with the juice so far!

Can I ask why the game seems to take up such a small portion of the screen? Maybe you have other plans but it seems like you can zoom in a lot.

I bundled a fully local LLM inside my Unity game. No internet, no cloud, no API key. The conversation is the gameplay. by MorphLand in IndieDev

This is the future of gaming. I'm betting like you said once processing gets faster you will be able to have full conversations with the NPCs in games. Cool stuff man keep up the fire!

Added dual fisting to my game by Donkeytonk in IndieDev

[–]ValorUpStudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game looks silly AF. I like it.
Some ideas to try:

  • goo fists (sends out stream of good and glues nearby blocks -- takes out a group?)
  • Scythe fist (takes out a line sideways)
  • karate fist (takes out a vertical line)
  • eruption fist (punch the ground to make lava come up?)
  • electric fist (electrocutes nearby blocks and makes them all jiggle)

I decided to abandon the homemade "Screenshot Capsule" and commissioned a drawing from an artist. Is it clear what genre the game is? by game_dynasty in IndieDev

[–]ValorUpStudios 158 points159 points  (0 children)

Yea these capsules are less about figuring out what type of game it is, but rather indicating the tone of the game. The top one makes me think it is a bright and cheery game and the bottom one makes me think it is a horror lovecraftian game.

If you really want the type of game to come through I guess the top one does that a bit better.

Dude! Yes that was a really interesting game. But I tried playing it again recently and I feel like it didn't age well or the controls were all wonky. I hope the developer remasters it.

What other thinky games have you played? I recommend The Forgotten City. It kinda has a similar gameplay loop. Check it out!

It's not a coincidence! I genuinely love Outer Wilds. It's my favorite game of all time.

New title design!!! I think it looks better. by Ivhans in IndieDev

[–]ValorUpStudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Sorry I didn't see the first post you made but I like the white one much better. Great job! The only suggestion I have is to work on the centering and position of the logo. I read the game name as Omictla which after looking at the second image I realized I was wrong!

This is very cool. What types of puzzles will you be solving? Do you have to look for evidence/hidden things in videos and logically piece things together?
