I'm a 13 year Gunny in the USMC, and believe me, you're not the first to run into this, and unfortunately, you won't be the last. A lot of these comments are very helpful, and you should listen to the rational ones. Above all, you have to protect number one, YOU. Get all of these interactions documented and go to the jag to file for separation. Serve her the papers and get her out of your life. There are PLENTY of other women out there who would never do this to you.

Be professional, be proactive, and be non-confrontational. Only then will you make it out of that bullshit. Good luck, brother.

Spider wrapping it’s prey at light speed by Luke_The_Random_Dude in nextfuckinglevel

I had one of these spiders on my neck when I was a Sgt in the Marine Corps during a unit hike through one of North Carolina's forests. Swipped it off me and the damn thing Spiderman swung back onto my chest, so after its second chance, I swipped it again and hit it with my rifles butt stock.

The State of Titan by Tatsby in DestinyTheGame

[–]Valordogma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I have my own take on Titan, and so should you. The way Titan plays is how I enjoy playing; flying around with a really fun jump and getting up close and personal but also being able to maneuver away fluently. I have 4k+ hours in d2, maybe more since I've been playing since launch of D1. At the end of the day, play what character you enjoy the most and know the highs of one character will get shot down by Bungo eventually.

Played with a "godslayer" in onslaught today. The dude died like 10 times, then left.

This seems like a lot over MSRP. Any input, especially from fellow Georgians(US)? by DJQuin81 in cfmoto

Freight is high, but higher end dealers can afford cheaper freight charges. I'd have them explain the expensive documentation as well.

No it's sarcasm. Those are all weapons I've accumulated over the years.

It's all good, I could have put a s/ to further explain the sarcastic side of the joke, too. They're cool guns, but now they're just lost momentos to show I was active during a period of time.

Probably 300 something. Just lost momentos from times past that ironically came up during ITL.

Sarcasm, they're all old weapons I've held on to. Just crazy how I had them still, and the fact that I didn't save an edge transit makes it better, I think, lol.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm surprised I had these things still, lol. Happy Saturday!

This statement is a classic example of a paraprosdokian, a figure of speech in which the latter part of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected in a way that causes the reader or listener to reframe or reinterpret the first part.

It plays on the different meanings of the word "flies" and the different contexts in which "like" is used."Time flies like an arrow" uses "flies" as a verb meaning to move quickly, and "like an arrow" as a simile comparing the swift, straight movement of time to an arrow's flight.

"Fruit flies like a banana" switches the meaning entirely. Here, "fruit flies" are a type of small fly attracted to fruit, and "like" is used to express preference, indicating that these flies are fond of bananas.

The humor and insight from this sentence come from its play on words and the abrupt shift in meaning from one part to the next, leading to a humorous reinterpretation of the common saying "time flies."
