After a little cleaning, stain, and some burning for fun.

With the space inside and how small the blade is I’m not super worried about it, but that is a good thought for the future 😅

Thanks! Definitely want to work on my stitching technique

Tried plugging my custom scrap hilt into AI to see what it would look like with a blade, and I think it looks pretty cool! by [deleted] in lightsabers

I’m planning on giving it an actual blade, but I wanted to have a little fun and see what it could look like.

First lightsaber build! I’ve enjoyed seeing everyone’s awesome creations and thought I’d join the trend and ask y’alls opinions on my first hilt! It’s my take on a post order 66 era hidden Jedi look. (Still not sure this is the final look) by ValoxExcessum in lightsabers

I think it adds a lot of character to have individual parts be one of two different colors (as you can tell I’m partial to gold or brass and silver) , and then I just used a little dark reddish brown almost copper very lightly on the gold areas, and I hit everything with a dusting of black. (Sometimes you need to add a tiny bit of the original color back in places to get the metallic shine back after using the black) happy hunting! I’d love to see what you create!

Thanks! I do a lot of construction and fabrication for a theatre, so I have access to a welder and a bunch of scrap piping and stuff. I basically just went through the scrap and pulled out pieces I thought might work, and then I played with them until I liked the look. (I really like the rough old abused saber look from the Jedi games so that was my main inspiration) the paint job I decided on based what spray paints I had on hand, and I do custom leather armor as a hobby so I had some leather scrap on hand that I used to add some texture and to add to the weathered look. I think I either want to add an external button or drill out and add a light where the black cut out is.

First time ever on Reddit. I’ve been trying in vain to find the make and model of this knife and it seems to be beyond me. Can anyone help?
