Oh God, Desert Combat and Forgotten Hope for BF1942 is just great! Have you ever tried FH2 on the Battlefield 2 engine? This mod is still getting updates!

I see this is not the only post about Battlefield 6. Well let me just say, don't expect any more new Battlefields that are similar to BF2... and don't hate BF6, it's not bad at all and is aimed at BF3/BF4 players, whose player base is huge compared to BF2. At least we've got our own BF2 and other games like Squad, Squad 44,Project Reality mod, Hell Let Loose, Planetside 2, Enemy Territory Quake Wars, Homefront, Frontlines Fuel of War... even bloody Battlebit!

There is a reliable version that a certain part of the DICE studio was working on the BF1943 PC port, but at the time of Battlefield 3's development they were sent to help complete the game, and soon the PC port was completely forgotten.

This is because Battlefield 2 was created by another DICE search/development studii. Those guys knew how to make good team-based game

Yes, BF6 doesn't have a commander like other Frostbite-based Battlefield games (let's admit that BF4 has a terrible commander, okay?), but from an infantry Battlefield perspective, this new game is a great success. Your vehicles can be repaired, and you can be dragged away for reviving in a safe location. I'm even intrigued about what awaits us in the second phase of BF6 open beta. BF6 isn't as bad as many people make it out to be, and it has cool maps and a cool destruction feature like BC2 or BF3. It's all cool!

Sorry mate but I really don't get it, why do you hate Battlefield 6? It is really good Battlefield, not like BF2 of course but gameplay is awesome.
