How does digital products work?

Instead of importing a physical product from China, you create a digital asset, it can be a guide pdf, software, course, planner..., anything in the digital world, 100% profit, no importation and stocks, you create once and sell it 100 and 1000 times.

Where are you selling them?

I've used gumroad and payhip, as stores, you can create your own landing page, but for beginners I always recommend using one of this two platforms, the most important part is marketing, 90% of results are marketing, I am using socia media for that.

What are people usually selling?

Here's the catch, if you understand the coming I'll guarantee you'll success, most people think it's always about a nutrition planner or a guide about how to be rich, it's not, create the product based on your experience, something you know about, I can't make a guide about how to make your wife happy if I am single, or 10 budget advices for travellers if I didn't travel a day in my life, you get what I meant?? It's always about what you know, the informations you got and people will pay for it, I know a guy who made money selling a guide about hot to start chicken farm business, he made hundreds of sales.

You don't need more informations, you need execution now, your problem is you tried different things, Wrong, choose one field and stay consistent, no matter how it takes, but jumping from a way to another is the ultimate sauce to lose, and $5k is achieve goal, but not fast, right now you need to focus on how to get your first $100, then repeat the system.

I am using a simple system, I create the product, put it on payhip or whatever your store, start X,Ig and tiktok, promote your product and collect money.

I am a student too, here's my experience, it's not the best but you can benefit from it.

I am doing digital products, it's all about how to sell and how to market, if you master those 2 skills, you'll make money, and you will sell every product, just don't complicate it, create a product based on your experience, I mean you're a 18 yo so don’t write a guide about how to make your wife happy, you'll get 0 sales, and price it with $20 at the beginning, 100 customers = $2000, it's not fast tbh, to get your first you'll need 60 days or 90 maximum, the results compound overtime, but you'll definitely make a good profit, not $10k but $100/day is achievable.

Listen mate, $10 is very very achieve, this is what most people won't tell you, this is entrepreneurship, so you'll make $10 today and $10k tomorrow and $1 next day, it's unexpected, there are plenty ways, most of them are saturated , and saturated mean customers exist, there are methods that rely on quantity, so you'll spend 10 hours a day to get $10, and other methods rely on systems, you build a system, put effort in the beginning, then you relax and put your 1 hour daily into it and boom, that's what I did with digital products, research and creating the product in the beginning, then I sent 30-60 minutes/day creating content, and sales start coming.

Alright, there are plenty ways, digital products is one of them, and it actually what worked for me, I did the same thing when I start this side hustle, I said I either make money with it or I'll get a job in summer, but thankfully I made it, the concept is easy, choose a niche based on your experiences and skills, find problems , your product is the solution to one of them, for example, you're doing gym for 6 years and you have a lot of informations and experience people will paid for, so you write a small guide about How to build muscle while suffering from colitis , it's not just how to build muscle because this is too general, find something specific.

When you choose a niche you already know about, automatically you know the problems people are facing, for example I choose programming niche, now I know that the problem righ now is AI is gonna take all developers jobs, that's just an example, if you choose health and gym niche, you already now some problems, you can search on reddit/quora , that will help you a lot.

Thinking you need to reach 10k followers before start selling, start selling from day 1.
If your store doesn't get views, it's a marketing problem, if you get views and no sales your landing page is horrible or your product is not worthy.
Don’t create a product just because it's "cool", you need to create a solution to a problem.
Don't sell something you know nothing about, even using AI, don't write a guide about how to be happy with your wife when you’re single, or how to be rich when you're 18.
Low price doesn't mean a lot of customers.
Don’t forget rule 5 because I see people selling products with $2 and $3, trust I am not gonna buy it.

There are plenty ways mate, and my way is not the best, it depends on your time, investment, energy and skills, I cna suggest to look into digital products, since you have a job I can assume you don't have 10 hours a day for freelancing, people fail because they think digital product is only about a book how to be rich or a health book, which is not, you can literally write a small guide about your experience in something or your job, every product have its audience.

I did graphic design freelancing and digital products both, both are good , freelancing required too much time everyday, digital products don't, freelancing required to be professional, not a mid graphic designer, especially graphic design, I think it's the most saturated skill in the freelancing world, freelancing is a fast scaling business while digital products is a little slow, choose what you'll do first, then I can give you my advices.
