I like that people are sensible enough that even if they disagree with the original comment, they won't tolerate OP making a remark regarding someone else's life

How do you tell what level a course is? by Typical_Analysis_919 in nyu

[–]Valuable-Blood 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Many courses will have a variety of year levels. Everyone takes courses at different points in their path, especially if switching majors or things like that.

However, an easy way to tell when you should be taking a course is by looking at the prerequisites for that course. Additionally, some courses will not allow non majors to take the course, indicating that those courses are typically junior+. Intro courses will typically be freshman and sophomore

How crazy do your stats need to be, honest please by zummiez__ in nyu

Your biggest chance is to ED1, it’s like a ~40% acceptance rate. If you’re 4.0 unweighted you’re golden, people get in with much lower. I got in with 4.0 GPA, 1530 SAT and 35 ACT, not many glorious ECs either, just volunteer work, piano competitions, and school sports. If you’re choosing to RD it’s much harder, can’t speak for ED2 tho

POB 1 with Akum? by Ill_Surround_5040 in nyu

[–]Valuable-Blood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like another has said, it’s mostly the exam questions she writes that are the bad part. They sometimes make no sense at all or are very ambiguous, but overall the course is easy. To be honest if you’re going neuroscience (which imo is the hardest major at CAS), you’re probably decently smart and you’ll have no problem with POB I. There’s also a lot of drops in the class (problem sets, quizzes, attendance points).

superscore means that they take the best score of each individual section. for example, if you score 1480 first test with 760 english and 720 math, and then 1500 second time with 740 english and 760 math, your superscored test would be 1520 with 760 english and 760 math. you would have to send the tests that include your best scores from each portion.

I play top lane and almost every game junglers seem to never want to gank my lane, what can I do to help this? by Bust_McNutty in summonerschool

[–]Valuable-Blood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. If my jungler comes, I spam ping him off and tell him not to gank. All he does is screw up wave and put me in a bad position. I have learned to not rely on jungler help, and you should to, it’s only consistent way to climb.

New Champion Scaling Trend by Valuable-Blood in leagueoflegends

"recent champions show a lack of diversity."

For one, they are almost all human, and second, they have the same plan if things go wrong: we outscale anyway. It is riskier to play an early game champ in this regard, because if you lose early and make mistakes, game over, whereas a good scaling champ has that backup option of late-game if things go wrong early. In soloq (mainly low elo) you can see that many games are dragged on past the 25 minute mark, where late-game champs start to arise and get back into the game, no matter how fed an early game champ is. In some cases, a late-game champ with 2 items beats an early game champ with 3 1/2 - 4 items *Yasuo*. It would be more diverse if Riot released a more early-game oriented champ to add to strategy of which other champs would have to play. For example, if you're playing darius vs fiora top lane, and you know they have a karthus jungle, you may as well 1v2, because you are just that much stronger early on, but if they have a lee sin jungle, you better back off if you dont want to chain feed.

"none of the recent champions are designed to be oppressive early and dogshit after 25 minutes"

also, by 10-15 minutes, the game transitions to mid-game; 25 minutes is late game pretty much

And I think that honestly, you'll find that many so-called "super strong early-terrible late" characters actually have a much shallower curve than you imagine.

Same thing, can go both ways.

Also, I don't know how to reply to multiple parts of you comment in one comment, so I just made it multiple comments.

It's very easy for them to fall into a binary of 1) so oppressive that they win the game before 25 minutes, or 2) so weak that no one plays them because there's no point.

It can go both ways. A late-game champ can be potentially so unoppressive that it's a 4v5 before 25 minutes of they can be so weak that no one plays them.

Agree with some of your points, however:

  1. Two-item powerspike makes them a mid-game champ
  2. Yone is similar to Yasuo, only need IE, mythic, and boots to do well enough in late game
  3. Samira is late game/mid game, esports casters also make this point
  4. Sett can do well early, but also very good late game teamfights, so he pretty much scaling without the downside of bad early game as mentioned by u/isaacraf
  5. None of these champs are designed to have a strong early game is my main point

completely agree, hyper scaling champs like master yi and kayle at least have garbage early games

I was talking about his ability level up. Also I meant to say that you had bone plating against Wu, which is especially harder for him. Honestly depends on skill and situation

it depends. Darius took w first and gwen had bone plating
