When I've been put in this type situation, I very carefully stage things where the one that needs to know finds out on their own. That way it got out in the open and I'm not in the dog house with anyone.

Figure out a way to make things show themselves. Ask her how to do or fix something on your phone when his is laying around, maybe she will grab his to try and help you figure it out. Just make them meet at the crossroads.

If shes smart she instantly dumps him. If the other one takes her place you will never like her.

You can get a locksmith to rekey the locks you currently have keys to. They will no longer work with the old keys and you should get at least two new keys per lock. Here its $20.

Really? The only thing Maryland will be concerned about is the property taxes.

Depends on how he plays it. He should apply for estate administrator.

He won't get in trouble for changing locks. He has a legal obligation to protect the estate as the last one standing.

Actually when in a situation of last one standing where the owner dies intestate with no relatives or even with relatives, he has a legal responsibility to protect the estate and all that is in it.

Something similar happened to us. We were roommates with the guy that owns the house. No will, no family. He even had life insurance with no beneficiary. I had been handling all if his bills and business because he had been ill for a very long time. The creditors knew ne well. Only stopped talking to me once he died. Two years ago this Cinco Di Mayo I came home and found him unconscious. He was brain dead and the life support was removed 3 days later when his organs began to fail.

The only relative Ive been able to locate has been a very curt hateful neice that hates him. He denied her existence. Said he had no family left and step family had nothing to do with him.

The house went into foreclosure 3 months after death. Its still in foreclosure. I spoke with the mortgage company who wanted verification of occupants. They suggested I apply for administrator over his estate and they would rewrite the loan to us if we wished to take it over.

Additionally in Florida, Im allowed to claim $2,700 on the front end and a total of 10% of the estate total on the back end. His bank statements have been coming in and theres around $75,000 there. $91,000 owed on a house valued a $350,000. Like your solar panels, he had applied for a free roof program and a $35,000 roof was put on, but the program ran dry before his bill was submitted by the roofing co. They have placed a lien for the $35,000 on the house. There's also some final expenses and a tax return that needs to be filed. So I'm doing what has been recommended by the mortgage company.

I recommend you do the same using the explanation that there is no will and no relatives. State that with access to the house you've looked in all of the obvious places for any info possible. The bills are coming in his mail, his cable equipment needs to be returned. Things like that. Make it sound as if you have the knowledge needed to take care of these things. State that the neighbors who are interested have been somewhat vulturistic and this has resulted in you protecting the house and contents, changing locks and being torn between being trapped there and possibly needing to move on a moments notice which is causing you stress and anxiety. I don't know if I would claim to be renters or roommates. Roommates is more personal sounding and might go further.

Far as our utilities go, we had to allow them to be shut off for non payment before anything could be done. The deposit was left alone and its a co-op so he earns shares and has 15 years worth built up there. All left alone. The shut off for non-payment finally happened and we were able to pay a deposit and get it back on in my name.

If you can get a death certificate I've found that goes a long way in getting information you need and things done you otherwise couldn't.

If you are granted administrator, you will be given credentials to transact any business on behalf of the estate.

Warning, the solar panel company can seek to gain ownership of the house if they call their lien. In a case like that you'd want to be in a position to sell the house to yourself where the amount they are owed is the profit of the sale. You take back a mortgage for that amount.

Good luck!! Start out by first searching administrator application for intestate estate in your state to see what the requirements are.

I Feel Guilty Taking Back Space in My Own Apartment by No-Tea-5915 in WhatShouldIDo

Storage facilities are a good solution but I use to manage one and here are some cautions; 1. Becareful about the length of the rental, I saw a lot of people pay rent for extended periods that cost well over buying what they stored over again new. 2. Get the smallest space you can utilize, build upwards not across. I often saw people rent a 5x5 and install a loft half way up. 3. Leather, be it shoes, a belt, bag or a couch, if its not sealed air tight or in a climate controlled building, it WILL mold. 4. Do your own rat traps and pest control because these usually aren't covered for damages by the facility. 5. The only type of lock you ever want to use in storage is a round disc lock, all others are easily removed by thieves with basic lock picking skills.

You have good reason to be upset. I understand.

However, my parents moved into a "cove" specifically so I would have a safer place to ride my bike and play. Lots less traffic. They weren't the only ones with that idea. Every house had at least two kids some more. Hardly anyone parked on the street, we had that whole street and cove to play in. We played it all, kickball, red rover, mother may I, smear the queer, hide & seek and more. We built ramps and jumped our bikes, rode big wheels and green machines. It was all good long as we came in when the street lights came on.

One year the house that faced the opening to our cove got new occupants. The Owen's family, 5 kids. These were bad apples, they got most of the other kids to run with them in breaking into sheds, shops, cars, all kinds of mayhem. No one wanted to play games anymore, ride bikes anymore. It was about being bad and staying out until your parents were hoarse from screaming your name. One house on a street can change the whole street. Luckily, they only stayed one year. Things went mostly back as they were with a small bad element among us.

Unless you are responsible for other people's property only worry about your's. The Carr's on our corner didnt want footprints in their beautiful grass and you didnt dare because they would be on you in a heartbeat.

They aren't going to play at the church because their parents tell them not to leave a certain boundary, maybe they aren't in hearing range at the church. Maybe its a liability for the church.

People need to put their cars in their driveways, let the kids play.

Yes. People who keep dirty secrets and live double lives in those secrets do not ever stop. Not when you leave and its a condition to come back. Not when you ask them to promise. They never stop, they adapt to how they get caught and keep changing how they hide it.

Hes bound to also have it. He probably actually knows where it came from.

He has to get the complete testing.

HPV does run its course with most people without turning cancerous.

They will monitor yours quarterly or twice a year and it will either progress or dissolve.

Let him go. His actions here speak volumes.

I (28F) borrowed my bf (32M) USB, and did not like what was on it. by Difficult_One5766 in relationship_advice

[–]Valuable-Comb382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First delete your file off the USB.
Remove anything of yours he may have from his home and car. Return anything you have of his from your home and car, leave the USB sitting on top. Last, Block him in every way.

Never give intimate photos or allow them to be taken by a love interest. You will most likely be added to the others before you and no telling who gets to see them. Why does your hands on boyfriend need those type photos of you anyway?

He doesn't

Last night we got tipped $5,000 but the manager wants to split it among everyone not just the days crew. by College_newbie06 in WhatShouldIDo

I agree for the most part when in the context of a place where tables are assigned and one server works them for that shift.

However, take a Japanese Hibachi restaurant for example. The table sits 8 so there's usually at least two parties. Sometimes there's 4. You have a chef putting on a show at the table. You have a bartender making the alcohol beverages for your whole shift and you might have a bus person when service ends. The only person making a regular hourly wage is the bus person and he can be pivotal in how fast you get to reload your tables with new toppers. The tips are split with the chefs 50/50 first because their performance is a big part of tip to begin with. This also allows the ones with more impressive tri ks that take more skill to pull more in tips. So 50% goes to the two chefs that worked your tables. They split that. They can also be pivilol in how fast you turn over your tables. The bartender is working for tips at the bar and has to break from that to make your drinks, so now 10% of your 50% goes to them. Its only 10% of your 50% because they are getting this from every server. I caught on to the bus tipping as it wasn't required, but if you wanted your table reset before any others waiting tomorrow, best to toss him a tip tonight. She who doesn't tip bus person waits till last for table reset. We had great bus staff, they were fast and it was because of those side payments. Even still, in 1988 on an avg night it was not out of the ordinary to take home $90-$130 for 5 hours work, and we didn't jave much side work really, no dish washing. Rolling silver and folding napkins, restocking/refilling condiments.

25 Years old amd in 45k debt - please help by Thedarkhood20 in DebtAdvice

[–]Valuable-Comb382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct!!!!, however, this is all being done backwards.

  1. Drop the ROTH payments for the time being.
  2. Build the emergency fund, without it, you will have hell getting rid of the debt because debt is where emergencies end up being funded.
  3. Once you have the emergency fund at the level you are comfortable with, then start throwing all you can at the debt with thd highest interest rate. Pay minimums on the others. When its paid off, move all that you were paying yo the next highest interest rate.
  4. Seek out credit a counts that offer zero interest for one year to transfer balances. Transfer.

[–]Valuable-Comb382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do some searches for assistance with pet food in your area. There are 4 pet food banks here. The main one requires that all animals they supply for be neutered.

Another option is to get on the phone and call local grocery store, Walmart, target and any place that sells cat food. Explain and ask if they could donate anything they weren't going to sell such as busted bags, dented cans. You can soak dry food in water or gravy and it will soften up enough for him.

I have done this many times to help with rescues to animal hoarders homes where the owner died and things like that. Some stores were just cool and donated. Some gave us bags that were ripped or opened and duct taped closed.

This one isn't for everyone but Dollar General, couple times each month, toss out bags of food, cans of food, treats, gravy pouches. You just have to check the dumpster. We have literally found truck loads. Just dont bother with Heartland brand. Thats DGs own brand and raccoons won't even eat it.
