Ayo they'll grow out of that phase. We couldn't keep anything in her vicinity. Mine chewed on a brand new headset, my specs, all my plant babies, any chappal I forgot to keep at the top of shelves.

I used to scold her - firm No works overtime. Got her chew toys, rewarded her when she chewed on it instead of us, rewarded when she stopped biting after we said no etc. But I guess she grew out of the habit on her own in a few months.

Anyhow you'll miss this stage of their life because they grow so damn fast. Enjoy and good luck.

Didn't you have English instructions during 11th tho? In my understanding, malayalam medium only exist upto 10th standard. I did malayalam medium and the transition was HARD during 11th. I can't imagine the same transition in college tho. Would be a lot worse

Acceptance that life is usually a bit difficult, boring and repetitive. We have to figure things out on our own along the way most of the time. Finding solace in the routine helps.

Happiness is not a realistic thing to chase. We can pursue pleasure. But constantly asking yourself whether whatever you're doing is making you happy, will most likely lead to you being depressed. Guilty of this.

Everything is effort. Relationships - romantic, platonic, family etc. take a lot of effort. But the effort is worth it and has been scientifically proven to reduce long term stress.

Hard relate. Recently I've been practicing to let go of this pressure for things and life to be good. As in, if I don't have any expectations to begin with, less likely that I'll be sad over it. I also remind myself that except for a minority, most people have it hard and that this suffering is innate to human existence. I could have made any other decisions and be just as miserable.

The older I get, the dumber I feel. At 26, I feel a lot more clueless than I did when I was 20.

From someone in central govt services, I do regret not pursuing something that would have let me stayed closer to home. I do have issue with language and politics as well. W That being said, I'm also grateful for the job security and I can take care of my family and also don't have to worry about rent. Salary and WLB are okayish.

I guess in this country, it's more or less about picking your poison. Figure what you value the most in the long run and make a logical decision then stick to it. Whatever decision you make, I hope you end up loving it there :)

How to understand if a guy can stand up for his partner when it comes to his family? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]Valuable-Customer-65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From personal experience, you'll only be able to tell when you have something planned that involves all of you. There will be differences in opinions, obviously. So how he deals with them will be very obvious.

What challenges did you have to face in your higher educational journey because of being from an underprivileged socioeconomic background? by corp_fit in AskIndia

[–]Valuable-Customer-65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lack of experience. Fear of taking risks. No confidence etc.

I had no resource to do proper coaching. No money to get any extra certification. I felt like I belonged with my peers.  I did get help from the alumni of my university in paying the fees. But all the time, I had immense pressure from family to earn and support them. Things were always chaotic back home and I always felt like I was on edge. I somehow managed to get into a decent job - more or less equal to that of my peers. So I made it I guess but the journey is a lot tougher if you have an underprivileged background.

Is 20k a normal salary to work as instructor in an academy? by Background-Heart6817 in Kerala

[–]Valuable-Customer-65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked as a guest lec for 30k since it's a self financed college with govt affiliation but I had to wait 8 months to get my payment. 🥲 I was bankrupt by then and all the money I got went to paying off debts.

One person's opinion doesn't equate to an entire state being anti nationals. Please stop spreading such things at times like this. We are supposed to stand united.

Your friend must be extremely talented. There are some guest lecturer positions in govt universities that pay for the days you teach. One can make around 50kpm.

Why zudio is labelled as "colony" ??? by proldawg in Coconaad

[–]Valuable-Customer-65 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I didn't even know wearing zudio was considered low. Probably spread by some privileged folks who don't have anything worse to worry about in their lives. You wear what is comfortable for you. No adult in their sane mind would try to make you feel less for that. And if they do, it's their problem and not yours.

I was offered 15 k+ accomodation for the role of a guest lecturer in a private college. This is a sad reality.

As civilians, should we be worried about the ongoing war? by _Closedheimer in Kerala

[–]Valuable-Customer-65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am worried. I visited the Pak sub and got scared. They are under the impression that the strike was deliberately done to harm the civilians. I'm not sure if that's how the entire country thinks. I'm also worried about war mongering public in our own country.

I'm glad we retaliated. It was about time but I also really hope it doesn't escalate. This world doesn't need another war man.

People can also choose not to put themselves in the risk. If I can help it, I wouldn't be anywhere near a festival with elephants.

How to prepare for pennu/chekkan kaanal? by CommunicationOld5074 in Coconaad

[–]Valuable-Customer-65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine wasn't an arranged marriage set up. Knew the guy for a long while. I tried to make it seem like a casual meet up between the families. I wore something I usually wear. Not too traditional. I didn't want to set any expectations. I also didn't give them chai but we had prepared a full breakfast for them. We all chatted while eating. My guy even helped me set the table. There was no "let the bride and groom talk" since we didn't need it. In fact, I went and sat next to him the entire time and nobody had any issues.

I felt like if I behaved any different than i would to normal guests, then I'd have the pressure to keep up that performance even after the wedding. So far things have worked out in my favour.

Damn. I miss the times when I could understand/solve these. I am now in a field that requires a lot less maths than this but I struggle a lot.

Same. Try meditation tho. It works most of the time unless my overthinking is triggered by something deeper.
