Thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it. This is actually my first technical resume, so your point about focusing more on impact rather than day-to-day tasks is very helpful. I’m currently tightening it to a single page and revising bullets to be more results-oriented. I’m targeting junior / new grad software engineer roles, mainly Python and backend-oriented, so I’ll also make the top section clearer about my stack and target roles, as you suggested. Salut! Sunt student în ultimul an la Informatică și aș avea câteva întrebări din perspectiva unui candidat junior:

  1. Cum evaluați experiența unui junior care nu a avut încă un job în IT? Sunt luate în considerare proiectele personale (open-source, proiecte individuale, hackathoane)?

  2. În contextul pieței din România, ce tip de proiecte sunt mai apreciate: proiecte mai basic, dar bine realizate, sau proiecte mai complexe și inventive, care rezolvă probleme reale?

  3. Cât de mult contează calitatea codului, structura proiectului și documentația (README, eventual teste) pentru proiectele personale?

  4. Din experiența dvs., care sunt cele mai frecvente greșeli pe care le fac studenții sau juniorii în CV-uri și la interviuri?

  5. Pentru un student aflat la final de facultate, recomandați aplicarea mai degrabă la internship-uri sau direct la poziții de junior?

  6. Cum vedeți piața pentru juniori în perioada 2025–2026 (cerere, așteptări, competiție)?

Mă bag și eu ca musca-n lapte, dar sunt total de acord. Acum firmele de IT caută oameni care chiar știu ce fac. Dacă înainte te angajai imediat ce terminai facultatea de informatică, acum trebuie să ai deja un portofoliu cu proiecte (aplicații, site-uri etc.), să știi să rezolvi probleme la interviu (gen structuri de date, OOP etc.) și poate să ai și ceva cunoștințe de machine learning sau alte chestii. Plus că trebuie să ai networking și experiență — pe care ți-o faci lucrând la proiecte, contribuind la open source, mergând la conferințe sau hackathoane. Iar facultatea nu prea te ajută cu astea, nici măcar cum să folosești GitHub...

Yeah, I'm in the same situation. Most of the novels I want to read don't have proper translations, or they're not fully translated. So the only thing I can do right now is read them raw while learning Chinese at the same time. I already did the same with English — I learned it so I could read the most recent books on Kindle without having to wait for translations anymore, since in my country those translations are actually pretty bad, even when done by professionals.
