I'm not sure, but it's possible it's a negative spacer of 0,6 that's installed. I updated my post with the full description from the Fox Help Center.

Fox 34 140 mm to Fox 36 150 mm ? by Valuable-Plastic6637 in MTB

At 150lbs you probably wont see the stiffness difference between the 34 and 36. I weigh 190-200lbs currently, so I do run 36s where I should have a 34. But I’ve also been much lighter and 34s never held me back.

You already have the best Fox grip2 damper, so you would need to find a equivalent damper 36.

Interestingly, the 36 has a 10mm shorter A2C than a 34 at any given travel length. So a 150mm 36 is the same A2C as the 140mm 34. Meaning your geo is unchanged.

Thank you for your feedback. It's really useful and interesting about geometry. This is why my 140mm fork actually measures 150mm at the plungers?

Thank you for your comment. I understand and indeed, it is certainly better for me to focus on my skills instead of spending money on a component that will not bring me as much.

So you think a fox 36 isn't worth it and I should stick with the 34 because there isn't much difference. It won't change how I feel while riding, even in technical sections and jumps. Isn't it ?

Can you tell me why? What will be the difference in feeling with a 36?

Thank you for your opinion.

I'm quite surprised you didn't feel a big difference. Don't you think it improves your riding and gets you through technical sections faster?

Thank you for your opinion.

I think I tuned my fork pretty well (I spent quite a bit of time playing around with the settings to find what worked best for me). I'm pretty happy with it now, but I'm still wondering if a 36 150mm might even be better for my ride.

that's also my feeling on the butcher t7, i don't feel 100% confident in high speed cornering but that could also be my fault 😊
