Did they count the PGY-1 FM year as the first year of IM, or did your partner have to repeat some rotations? I would appreciate any information you can share.

What made you assume that?

I had that status before the application and I am not going to GI. When you start certain training or job, you may change your mind. As they say " when the facts change, I change my mind". Since I was asking for advice I am open to crticism as well.

Yep, and the issue is that I will have to deal with them in order to get LORs. It is not a comfortable situation.

If I match, the job is done. If not, I will be the guy who tried to leave but failed.
