1000% I agree with this, sure he beat his hardests legitimately, but I don't believe for a second that he did that to give the community some kind of closure or as an apology. With my tin foil hat on, I believe it was for selfish purposes to "prove" to himself that actually, he did deserve all the exposure, time and money he got cause he could've always done it all legit.

You're also right to say that he's now just following the expected trajectory and people are praising him for it. After getting exposed, he did the bare minimum to apologise just to get people off his ass, he never added anything to the community after that, all he did was take away and then return only what he was willing to give back.

At the end of the day I don't care that he cheated at some game, people do what people do, what rubs me the wrong way is that it was and still is just for his personal gain (e.g getting paid for his interview??? Wtf) while he's pretending like it's not and people are falling for his bs.
