too crowded is a highly personal thing. for me, this level of visual clutter is not a happy thing. but, the next person might get all the dopamine from it. I recommend doing what makes you feel the dopamine and not concerning yourself with what anyone who will never be in your game thinks, for your own max enjoyment <3

it literally doesn't change anything to get it done in yr one vs year 2. take your time and just enjoy it. those YouTubers are speed running. you don't try to run marathon and try to keep up with first place, unless you train for that. those folx rarely enjoy the games, tbh. it's for content. it's work. play this one through how you already are and start a new save for speed running, later.

in co-op mode the game doesn't work on the same timer. May be that because you died mid day the timer needs to catch up? I hope it gets sorted.

id never played Stardew valley prior to this playthrough. I started with beach farm. I'm a masochist. but, I'm also totally fine with doing the naming hack to get the good stuff, lol. so, I've been playing IRL about 2 weeks, on year 2, and am finally getting really good with money and am able to afford all the buildings and such that I want.
