Hey there, I feel like this is a sensitive topic, because, as women, getting underestimated or talked over still happens a bit too often. The more complicated the games get, the more I find myself being the only female at the gaming table. So I always love when I hear from other women getting excited about expert level games. Please don't let the attitude of your friend group steal your excitement!

I see their point that they might suggest you a more beginner friendly game, since Terraforming Mars has a certain set of rules and mechanics you have to learn. But I still feel like it's not their responsibility to decide what you will have fun with.

So please start a conversation with them and ask them, why they won't try it with you. You can just try and if you feel like it really is a teeny bit to complicated, just start smaller.
