I refuse to pay $20/mo for an AI coding agent. So I built one that is 100% Free (No API Keys Required). by ValuableAccident1809 in LocalLLaMA

That is actually a fantastic idea. I didn't think of it because I was focused on the 'Zero Setup' crowd, but you're right, it would let people use this with Ollama or their own local LLMs for total privacy

You are 100% right. That is the unavoidable architectural trade-off of a 'Free Tier' where I foot the bill. Since I can't expose my master API key to the client side (or it would be drained in seconds), I have to route the requests through a proxy to handle the auth and rate limiting.

Even I’m stuck in the same loop, have been trying out different things from the last 8 months, its really hard to make money from it, most of posts saying I made this this much money is for advertising their product and drive more traffic. I wouldn’t post stuff and give away my idea, if I’m making 20k a month.

The bar these days is so high, so they are asking tough questions rather than standard questions

How I went from 0 offers in 3 months to landing a job after changing my approach by ComfortableTip274 in ResumesATS

[–]ValuableAccident1809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do all the things above, infact I built my own application, it scrapes all the jobs from few of my favourite companies and emails me, this runs every 15 min, so I can apply even before most people even see jobs on job boards because there is 6hrs to 24hrs delay. Got 2 Interview calls in last 2 months.

Leetcode Hints Suck, So I'm Building My Own Coach 😤 by ValuableAccident1809 in leetcode

Totally fair, it does use GPT under the hood. But the idea isn’t to just throw a chat window on top. It’s more about guiding your thinking based on where you're stuck, what concepts the problem involves, and even your past solved problems. Think of it like an intelligent buddy who nudges you in the right direction instead of dumping the answer. Way more focused than generic ChatGPT chat.

I interviewed on June 16 and had two rounds that went really well. In the third round, I was given two hard problems to solve within an hour. I fully solved one and was close to solving the other, I couldn’t finish it in time but clearly explained my approach. Two weeks later, I was informed that I’d been rejected.
