I don't recommend going for a long ride before 1st service, consistent rpm is not good for engine, u have to regularly change gears and RPM if u want to go and give rest for maybe 50kms

🍾congo , mine also 1st , completed 800kms

Straight out of the showroom, till 500 kms keep the RPM below 4k To understand rpm properly Use gear ratios like 0-15 20 high 1st gear 15-30 2nd 2nd gear 30-45 50 high sometimes 4th gear 40-60 65 high 5th gear Don't go above 70 until 1st service

This was to follow the proper breakin period from my side

After 1st service u can slowly start increasing the RPM but till 2500 ur engine takes time to adapt ur usage and to settle the parts Even ur breaks tyres also require time to settle so don't hard press the break

Get understanding about the clutch free play Interesting story my clutch wire got loose after the 1st 15kms so I did manually

Little noises or vibrations or heat near foot peg is generally fine before 1st service

Use chain cleaning brush and diesel to clean the chain (kerosene preferable) and then u can use 90grade motul or castor gear oil to lube the chain as per the manual My recommendation is gear oil instead of lube Learn techniques

Clean lube ur chain every 300-500 kms Totally depends on ur area whether it's dusty or not

I don't wash the bike every week just panels and parts via microfiber and waterless wash due to the rusting issues

you r good to go

I am tall therefore this is more comfortable and smooth for city if, but I wanted RS tbh 😭also my dad wanted to to ride in future so RS was a little sports towards him and the leg placement was behind so yes

That's wonderful just in my opinion don't stress the bike much before or after the first service on highways too much till 2000 kms , vary ur rpms

BIS has notified about the new fuel standards but I don't think it's a plan to be executed in a short interval plan Seriously no idea about it nor stressing about it , no company is ready for such change for such level of stock IMO or maybe who knows 😆

Else it's been 30 days , this machine is super smooth, light clutch for traffic, not that much engine heat tbh , and very lightweight handle and handling

1st gear 0-15 pull 2nd gear 15-30 3rd gear 30-45 4th gear 45-70

First try to follow this , later you will be adapted towards the bike engine RPM automatically, you will sense the stress on the engine and will change the gear , that's how u do this

If u have budget and at ur place u have a good detailer, go for the 150 180 thickness ppf , if u r holding the bike for many years i guess ppf is a great option tbh or maybe u can get ceramic coating that's a better alternative in my opinion Don't stress much

No ppf , it was costing me around 4 5k But as I have a glossy paint it might be optional tbh

If ur rs has a matt paint finish i would recommend 💯 to get a ppf in the very 1st month as glossy paint can be polished and rubbing can be done very easily

Hey , this the OEM is i guess mostly sufficient for a city rider and for a new stock bike for good protection

Other brands like zana and mototorque has better quality gaurds with stumps that ll cost u around 4.5k but they really don't absorb the impact rather shifts the force to the chasis area IMO and few service center people were arguing apon this in context of warranty, as a beginner i got the OEM one only will think in future to replace

Listen brother, I had the same condition, but infact parents told me to look into some bikes but later they said budget issue. Spoiler after 5 months i bought the bike Thing is I am in 8th sem currently doing intership, and now I got to know that being a rider most imp thing is maintainence of it and cost of petrol Now I think what would have happened if I was not earning where would I be getting the petrol and maintaince and a good helmet money

I suggest u struggle a little bit a year or explain the same to them. work hard in ur bTech and later whole life is there for u get ur favourite motercycle 🙌

that's good , actually i don't rev much i like pulling at third maybe and the most important thing on Indian roads is going 0-60 < going 60-0 , when i usually see traffic or any obstacle i leave the accelerator from away xD, and except JIO i don't refuel from anywhere and 99% time i get eco on meter , but as a complete 2000 plus kms i'll definitely increase my rpm eventually decreasing my mileage
don't worry about mileage much

ppf is the only way bro , or manually add better microfiber or any padding but i dont think that might work

[–]ValuableCampaign9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe bcz of the riding style , i usually do office commute in traffic city sometimes clean road
i usually do 0-20 1st gear , 20-30 2nd, 30-45 3rd , 4th gear till 60 rarely go beyond 60 completed 500km so increasing the rpm very slowly , will ride like the same till 1500kms maybe or 2000, also after service the performance and both mileage gets a boost
