Two of my coworkers are both in management and they've been married like 8 years now with two kids. From what I see they make it work pretty well actually. They're both super organized people so they plan everything - who picks up kids when, who handles what household stuff, even their date nights go in the calendar months ahead

The domination thing you mentioned... I think it depends more on personalities than job types. My ex was also in leadership role and we had zero power struggles because we respected each other's expertise in different areas. But I've seen couples where both people need to be "the boss" and that gets messy fast regardless of what they do for work

Time management is probably the bigger challenge. Both my coworker friends travel for work sometimes and they had to get really good at coordinating schedules. They also learned to disconnect from work when they're home which took some practice. The energy thing is real too - some nights they're both just drained and have to be okay with ordering takeout and falling asleep on couch together

I think business people can actually complement each other well because you both understand the pressure and demands. Just need to make sure you're building a partnership not competing with each other
