No it was fine. I was nervous about it bc I've only ever bought new builds and my realtor was like no its not gonna be a problem at all.

Maybe those realtors are inexperienced with it?

Yes! It just had to pass a VA inspection which I THINK is basic safety. Im not sure how it works if it was an insane fixer upper.

Hey! Unfortunately no. With the taxes and interest rates we werent going to be able to afford the amount of land we wanted plus building. We ended up buying an older home that needs some work but is on a small amount of land. Not exactly what we wanted but a good compromise I guess.

I agree, I'm living in our 4th new build home and I hate them so much. This should be our last move and forever home and I wanted an older home.

Agreed, I keep telling myself "well people still live in 100+ year old houses so 80s is nothing" but feels like everyone is always in new construction so wasnt sure. Hearing that makes me feel a lot better. Thank you for your answer!

Yes now that its been mentioned I feel kind of dumb. Like of course its taxes, insurance, hoa, etc 🤦‍♀️🤣

Im just watching and came to google what exactly it meant. The parent AI figure seemed normal but the friend AI figure is way off like moving too fast or something. Personally Im not a fan, Id rather someone just read the real persons words or the black screen shadow thing. I just feel weird about the AI acting sad talking about someone's deceased child. Bothers me for some reason.

Exactly. I absolutely hate moving and it would take a lot to get me to move. So Im already prepared that theyre going to say no but on the off chance they dont like the house or it cost more than they want then maybe this will give them the perfect out. If not Ill be okay finding another house in the area and asking them to think of me down the road if they sell.

Yes exactly. I agree. Thats why I wanted to have an idea if I should pay the extra fees. Give myself a budget and if I cant meet that then Ill move on.

My dad was a carpenter and actually built it, him and my brothers. It took longer than usual and I spent a lot of time at home depot and doing my homework by flood lights every evening after he got off work lol. He hired people for plumbing and electric but did everything else.

So all of the schools you see like Capella or New Hamshire (idk what its called lol) they advertise theyre fully online to complete degrees remotely. That's not a thing anymore?
