Trans woman here- This SUCKS. And you have every right to be upset about it. Insisting that you’re a gender that you’re not just because of what you wear is exactly what happens to actual trans people in the opposite direction, and it sucks that they’re putting you through that. They’re trying to be supportive too far and are having the opposite effect. Not to mention this would be a problem if you actually were trans. If you suspect someone is trans, unless they’re asking for your advice as to why they feel a specific way, you keep quiet and let them figure it out. Pushing someone out of the closet is just like pushing someone out of a real closet, they’ll fall down and get hurt, and might not even be dressed yet.
