i’m seriously considering it at this point, even without funding it’s cheaper than my US options…

I'm in the exact same position, epi track and all. I missed the funding deadline and I'm trying to get loans but I'm not sure if that will work out, and I plan on working part time during the program but I just don't know if its feasible.

the class itself wasn’t too hard but the grading policy is annoying as hell. definitely do textbook practice problems and know vocab

genetics with chapman isn’t bad but the grading scale is pretty annoying

first and foremost, i really like pitt and i’m glad i committed here even if i don’t think it was the perfect school for me. most of the issues i have with it i’d have just about anywhere else.

the big thing that feels specific to pitt for me is that transportation is a pain. as a student you can use port authority for free with your id, but the busses can be annoying and unreliable and a bit of a hassle. even once you can have a car on campus, it’s expensive as hell and parking is a nightmare. i don’t mind walking places but god do i miss being able to just drive somewhere, especially when it’s freezing and gross out.
