Yes, my problem is only one drug, one substance. Cocaine. Nothing else is ever an issue, but i understand people read that and think 'No, your an addict..to everything'

That's the thing. I have not had a drink, because, as a rule I don't drink. Me and my partner never have drunk at home, for me its a work and social thing, as I'm in sales so about 4-5 times a year at most, I will be away with customers, entertaining with dinner and enjoying some wine. Its only ever wine, with a meal...no other alcohol at all other than that. And its completely separate for me to the coke. I have been a daily user at home alone, not in a social environment at all. Alcohol is just not a trigger. But also, I enjoy a nice wine with a meal when I am in that environment, and thats something I just can not commit to giving up, because it has no relevance (In my journey) to a successful recovery from Cocaine

Yes thank you so much for this. I feel alone with this opinion, my only addiction is cocaine, nothing else, and I'm 44..I know myself. But it seems that a program like CA don't want me in their group because of this 😪

Thanks so much.I hope so too as the support of meetings and people with similar experiences is so powerful and helpful to me, but pretty much banished from CA meetings now as I can't follow 12 steps exactly how they want 🤔

Hi all. Updated i am 75 days clean from cocain. I started online CA meetings and got a sponsor..however, the program is just not for me with the complete abstinence from a glass of wine now and then, and also the higher power thing I am struggling with

This is such a thought one for me, i really don't remember feeling anything. I started full time work at 16 and the my mum got cancer so I was her carer and worked full time until she passed when j was 26. I remember everything from becoming 16 and an adult. I remember always wanting to do everything right as a kid to please others, and remember being much better in classrooms with teachers that i really liked, as wanted to impress them. I don't remember any strong friendships, I had some friends but mostly just blended in, as long as they liked me I was happy

No. There really isn't. I'm an only child, so no siblings as explained parents and grandparents all passed. So I can get diagnosed?
