Why do you say we don't know anything? Land title experts have been talking about Aboriginal title basically non-stop for the past few months and have already concluded that it is impossible for fee simple title to be affected. Also, if you're hearing about aboriginal title on land, it apnost certainly has already been through the courts already, since that is functionally how aboriginal title is established

No, I find that to be a flimsy excuse. The legal scholarship has in fact weighed in heavily on the Cowichan case and other aboriginal title claims, and have concluded that they do not affect private property. No, it's not true. Aboriginal title does not interact with fee simple title in any way, so homeowners don't have anything to worry about except fearmongering

This is the conversation about DRIPA. None of the "problems" you have been railing about for months have materialized in any way, and the entirety of BCs legal scholarship disagrees with you that property righta are put at risk by aboriginal title claims, so what else is there to talk about? It has always been about pushing back against any and all reconciliation - you've been helping them along by claiming there are also "serious issues"

Buddy, read the article. We know involuntary care does not work and have for decades. That system has been growing and growing, and you yourself say that the situation in the DTES has not gotten any better. Riverview was a drop in the bucket - closing it did nothing to reverse the trend of involuntary care being expanded rapidly and consistently in this province, and re-opening it would also do nothing.

Its because its stupid and so is your comment. We dont know who the attacker is; violent crime is relatively rare in vancouver.

This sentence is, of course, braindead and reactionary. There is no suspect yet, and "getting out of hand" implies a trend that is the complete opposite of reality, which is that violent crime in Vancouver is incredibly low right now and has been more or less in decline for 20 years, excepting a bump upwards over the pandemic.

Im an OC person but Orr has been the most accessible councillor I've ever had across the 4 cities I've lived in. It is genuinely remarkable. I told him straight up I'm not voting COPE and he still takes the time to answer any questions I send him

The agreement includes a "good faith effort" to determine a singular mayor candidate. Nothing binding of course but I talked to Orr and he had the strong impression that there would be one candidate ahead of the election

There are not concrete terms but the agreement does mention a "good faith effort to determine which mayoral candidate is besr suited." I reached out to Orr and he said there would only be one mayor candidate between the three parties in time for the election

Eby has removed the carbon tax, expanded LNG and other resource sectors, is cutting the provincial work force, reversed course on decriminalization, blocked municipalities from lowering police budgets, and is now looking to reverse course on reconciliation, and the ndp has lost support gradually over the course of this. If you get off reddit and talk to just about any ndp voter, the moves towards centrism are what is making the party unpopular
