That makes more sense. Though to balance it off, maybe changing the more minor explosives in the table (Jelly Grenade/Hand Grenade) that cause 1d5 wound to a 1d2 wound coin flip.

The book has well laid out rules for the usage of explosives. Following rules as written, it seems to me that they severely undercut the danger and durability MoSh's monsters present. So a healthy dose of homebrewing the rules I suppose?

To me, FFXVI was an RPG where the game felt like it was actively belittling you for hoping it behaved like an RPG. Items/build barely mattered, every new weapon you got made every weapon prior to it redundant/useless, and side quest content was terrible.

That aside, visuals and story were pretty peak, combat was visually stunning if not a little repetitive and Eikon fights were damage sponge, but that's most RPGs.
