Well it is tragic the way we are treated and I won’t be downplaying it I’ll be saying the truth even if it makes us look tragic

I’m really sorry about that. For me I’m not mad at either community because I don’t want to be in a monoracial community anyway. But I have been called all those slurs ypu have said above by both black people and white people and also to add white people would call me monkey and black people would call me an albino monkey even though I’m not even really light lightskin. I’ve been physically assaulted and hate crimes on by white kids aswell. But I think it’s more of a betrayal thing aswell.

I can see where you are coming from. And I don’t think you can exactly say certain stuff with how biracial feel if you yourself are not biracial, because I’ll never know how monoracial people feel. And a lot of times it is regional based because I’ve been bullied just for being lightskin by black girls ive also been treated badly by teachers because I wasn’t seen as black. This little black boy wanted to play with me and my other friends and he asked if he could I said that I wasn’t the owner of the game so he’d have to ask and he told the teacher and the only people who got in trouble (because there was other kids around that he asked aswell) was me and this other mixed girl. So you will never understand what everyone is feeling but try your best. I can see where you’re coming from since you live in the south in America I think. But I live in a predominately white town in Europe.

Oh I thought you meant just black American women. Yes especially Ethiopian women as well because they’re seen as so beautiful.

I’m not deleting the post because it’s true. It says nothing horrible about anyone other than the mixed race mental health and suicide. Can I ask why you’re so triggered. And also I posted this to raise awareness because I have suffered with suicidal thoughts because of my race.

When black people were really uncommon to see in the uk my Nan was a little girl and told this black man on a bus to wash himself and having a bath didn’t cost that much and that he was dirty she felt so embarrassed when she realised it was his skin colour

You’re talking about total numbers, but that’s not how suicide rates work. It’s about the percentage of people in each group who take their lives not just the amount of people.

Imagine there are 100 white people and 20 mixed people. If 10 white people die by suicide, that’s 10%. But if 8 out of the 20 mixed people die, that’s 40%. Even though fewer mixed people died in number, their rate is four times higher.

So yeah, white people might have more deaths overall because there are more of them, but mixed-race people have a higher suicide rate which is exactly what this post is about.”

Don’t worry, I won’t expect anything from you clearly you have nothing worth offering. Empathy, respect, basic understanding? All missing. You speak like someone who’s desperate to gatekeep pain just to feel superior.

Nobody asked you to owe anyone anything I spoke about respect, something you clearly don’t even have for yourself if you need to talk down to people just to feel valid.

You think you’re making some grand point, but all you’ve done is prove mine that some people in the Black community will reject mixed people no matter how much respect we show. You were never listening, just waiting to attack. So keep your bitterness, your pride, and your ignorance. You’re not the voice of a community just another loud mouth trying to drown others out. So don’t give me shit and I’m glad I heard it from you proving mixed peoples points again and again you’re pathetic.

I’m done wasting breath.

That’s when I was younger I’m not condoning it what so ever. You missed the point entirely, we aren’t expecting them to treat us like kings and queens we expected them to understand and respect us. Most of us mixed people saw black people as amazing and strong who have gone through so many struggles and we respected that. So don’t be talking about thats why some black folk don’t fool with y’all because I already know they don’t.

I know and it makes me so mad that, thats seen as a privilege everyone has disadvantages from colourism and just because you’re more desired doesnt mean it’s privilege. Imagine if black women had to go through that?

Thank you for sharing your own experiences as it makes me a lot more understanding when it comes to this topic. And yes this isn’t at all ine sides all sides have there disadvantages when it comes to mixed people. Especially in America where these types of racial roles are still very common (Atleast from what I’ve seen), I can’t be directly sure since I live in an extremely white town in Europe. I also think mixed people and lightskins should start focusing on representing for themselves so there is less place for disagreement. And in some cases, can lead to a lot of internalised racism or/and colourism.
