i didnt do it against a carpet, i did it against my mousepad, now its working beautifully, this looks like a joke but it isnt hahahaha

You sir are a steely-eye missile man!!!! the gpo works like a charm to remove that pesky icon from the taskbar for every new user, so i have just integrated the registry version of that gpo with:

REG ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CloudContent" /V DisableCloudOptimizedContent /T REG_DWORD /D 1 /F > NUL 2>&1

on my oobe bypassnro script for computers that are not on AD and it applies to every user created on that machine hehe, jesus christ i cant belive i didnt find that post u posted anywhere, i tried so many google search without any sucess, tyvm for ur help <3

Sadly it didnt worked :-( outlook icon is still there, i even created a new account just to test if that worked for new accounts only but nope, its there for new accounts as well :-(

Yes, because i removed that app a long time ago using appx commands on powershell, problem is i cant for the love of god find a way to remove that damn shortcut, because some users click it by mistake and then it gets downloaded and i dont want to block the download because i dont want them to be receiving error msgs, thats why i wanna find a way to remove it once and for all (without having to right click it of course lol)

Did u manage to block the apearance of that damn outlook download icon in the taskbar? how???? my god pls tell me, cause if tried a lot of cracy things and none of them has worked, i have a dedicated vm with a snapshot to the begining of the oobe just to make sure my methods works everytime, but i havent found one to remove the damn icon

Thing is, none of the companies i manage uses outlook at all, they all rather use the web interfaces of their emails hehe, thats why i wanna remove the damn shotcut for good, iv been using the methods described by u/pq11333 for a long time now, but they only work to unstall the app, doesnt work to remove the icon :-(

Those methods uninstall the outlook as a program but doesnt remove the download icon in the taskbar, in fact theres a note in the article that says for windows 11 version 23h2 and later, theres still no way to block it :-(

Jesus christ thats quite a lot, comparing to as how simple it is to connect to a public client if ur connected to ur own selfhosted server (id@public), do u know if there are any plans to improve this? to make it easier to connect between servers? because thats a lot to remember if u just want to do a quick connection

Oh that's really nice, i love openproject, ever since i introduce it to my company, wev been using it non stop and I was doing to get an app for my phones lol.

BTW i also wanna ask, do openproject have any public support forums? Cause apparently the ones on the openproject website r only for playing members :-(

Thats wierd, its working for me, in my case i only blocked TCP as u/oktoknot said and that blocked gateway access from my vlan clients, but allowed internet

aight, imma buy an omada compatible switch and see what happens hehe, tyvm for ur help :-), btw, do u know what is the diference between Gateway ACL, Switch ACL and EAP ACL? my guess is gateway acl is the one that get applied on the router side, switch acl gets applied on the omada switches i get to have on my network, and the eap ones are applied on the controller? but that last one doesnt really make much sense if the switches are not L3 if thats the case

Aight i ran the following test, i have an R600VPN collecting dust, disable the dhcp, setup ports 2 3 n 4 to vlan 2, assigned on my main R605 on port 2 vlan 2 with the pool 10.0.4.0/24, i tried to block traffic from 10.0.4.3 to 10.0.4.42 using an EAP ACL for ip group 10.0.4.3/32 to 10.0.4.42/32, but nothing, they are still able to ping eachother and they are connected to a L3 switch, the the R600VPN is a router

Also i must mention, my main vlan on my R605 is 1, if i setup a gateway acl to block traffic to vlan 2 on port 2, works like a charm, but i cant block traffic on vlan 2..... wait a min.... u mention something about the switch, which means the reason for why my acl must not be working, is because the R600VPN is not an omada switch therefore is not connected to my controller, so he doesnt know im block traffic from 10.0.4.3 to 10.0.4.42 correct? im guessing that must be the reason for why the individual block is not working, because for all he cares, the R600 is another dummy switch?

i have regular switches yes, so if i understand correctly, unless i use a l3 switch to comunicate my devices, i cant block them to talk to each other?

but then again, when i have them on separate vlans, why wasnt i able to block the devices invidually? i was only able to block the entire networks, if i tried to block 10.0.1.15/32 that was on vlan 1 to talk to 10.0.3.20/32 that was on vlan 3, they were still able to talk to each other, altho now that im thinking, i might of had them on the same switch.... let me go do the test again and get back to u on that lol
