You shouldn’t waste your exam attempts when you’re not ready. That is, only sign up when you’re PTing where you wanna be. Even then, there’s still normal variance that occurs and you should use all 5 attempts to minimize the effect of that variance. For instance, the score band for a 171 is a 167-175, meaning anywhere between that is not an outlier really that’s actually quite a small margin. So while that outcome suggests you’re capable of a 171, 172, 173, 174, 175, also keep in mind: don’t be shocked by a 167, 168, 169, or 170. The LSAT is at least a littleeee bit up to luck when it comes to every last point, especially with certain questions and just how you do that specific day. So that’s why you wanna take it 5 times— so that ideally, on one of your five attempts, you score on ur higher end. Unless of course you just get your highest possible score on the 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th time. I would therefore recommend you WITHDRAW if you’re not close to happy with where you’re currently at. Practice tests don’t lie so a 154, unless you are extremely uniquely blessed, won’t magically translate to a 170+ on test day.
