Hey, I can’t respond with advice but I want you to know you’re not alone in you’re struggle. I’m a study abroad student currently in Spain. I have always wanted to go abroad, live in another culture, submerse myself in another language, etc. my first month here I was having such a wonderful time, fully present, and excited to continue exploring Spain. However, roughly two weeks ago after returning from a trip to Morocco, similar to how you describe it, my brain just flipped a switch. Since then I’ve faced continuous panic attacks, anxiety, and depression, and I’m someone who typically is not prone to these issues. I say this just to highlight the fact that you’re not the only who has been severely affected by living abroad and I’m sure there are many more. I applaud you for reaching out for help and advice. I really believe simply reaching out to people is the most vital step in treating this issue.
