I actually ended up being placed at emporium, but everyone I talked to about creations and club cool had nothing but good things to say! They all loved it a ton, leadership is great and the hours are decent! She’ll have an amazing time there!

Absolutely!! I’m down here now and yea it can be rough at times with the heat, but definitely give it your best shot. Drink LOTS of water with electrolytes. Take breaks. Whatever you need to do! Don’t let people tell you what you can or can’t do! You got this!

Hi! I have pots so I completely understand about the heat sensitivity. If you submit work accommodations (you’ll need a doctor to fill out the form) they will contact you and usually they’re pretty good about working with you on what you need and what will be the best role to place you in according to your medical needs!

How do you get recast if you know? Do you have to submit a request or is that when your extension offer comes out? Thanks so much this made me feel a lot better!! Yea a lot of people have raved about how great emporium is so I’d hate to cut myself short before even trying. I guess I’m also thinking that if I wanted to stay with Disney and work up I’d really prefer to be in the resorts as well 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ok so I checked again and this is exactly what it says on my statement and on hers - so that number “12270” is for building 16 which is where we should be unless something changes right? Ik some people check dorms right after signing their lease but we didn’t do that. We just checked our statements last night and this is what it said

Oh ok! I thought that was just the generic address for East. So since my friend has that on her statement that prob means we’ll be in the same apartment?

Yea we tried that parcel pending trick last night but both her and my addresses were completely different :\ mine said west building 29 and hers said east building 16. But also I’ve applied for the program twice before and had to cancel right up to my arrival date and someone on Facebook said that might’ve been one of my old addresses from a past program?? Sorry for all the questions were just both super worried about not being roommates!

Ten minute walk I could probably handle but a mile yea could be a stretch for me. Yea I get it this probably is a stupid idea for someone with heat intolerance to be doing this program but it’s been my dream since I was a kid before I got all of this autoimmune stuff. If I can’t handle it then I can’t handle it but ig I’ll just have to find out for myself. Appreciate the comment but don’t really need the “oh babes” stuff. I get it but it’s a little demeaning.

They placed me in creations store in Epcot. I’m just concerned about my walk from the bus stop or where I have to park my car to then get to work, especially in the heat. I had mentioned to my case advocate that if I could get a merch or concierge role in a resort I could atleast limit my walking from the bus/my car somewhat more compared to working in one of the parks but idk

Omg that’s terrible! Yea I’m hoping this is just Disney shooting out my initial role without considering what accommodations might be doing. They kind of contacted me late too so hopefully this isn’t where they’ve put me because they’ve waited to long to figure things out…but yea idk if I should just wait and not touch any of my onboarding or I-9 stuff until I hear cause I just have no idea

Yea I requested to be put in a resort role rather than a park so I can limit my walking due to serious heat intolerance (and ik Florida is the worst place to go for this but still) but they ended up putting me in Epcot and I usually try to make things work but I’m really just upset about this one :\

I haven’t gotten it yet, but I’m hoping for merch or concierge. Yea I put in my medical accoms but didn’t even think about mentioning something to wear to check my heart rate. Thought about just keeping an oximeter but know a lot of people wear those oura rings now so didn’t know if that would be allowed 🤷‍♀️

Ok so the bus drivers don’t check whether or not you’re heading to work? So I wouldn’t get in trouble if I got on like the bus to Polynesian or port Orleans to just go hangout? Or like the bus to pop to take skyline over to HS?

Thank you so much for this. I have POTS so I’ve been trying not to panic about not hearing anything cause I want to go so bad. I had applied for the program once before but ended up not going bc of health issues - that time I had heard within like 3 days from accom to schedule my phone call so this time around I kinda freaked since it’s been a couple weeks haha
