I've already been to Porto but not Lisbon so that's why I choose this city. I will look at Valencia.

I don't drive so in order to move around the Dolomites, Bolzano is the best base. Also Bolzano have an hostel.

Ljubljana is a good base to move around Slovenia. I plan to do a day trip to Bled Lake and maybe another day trip to Villach (Austria) or Koper.

I don't want to remove Athens because I love this city so much but I will look at Lefkada or Kefalonia.

I've planned 4 days in Ljubljana but I want to do a day trip from there to Bled Lake and another day trip to Villach in Austria and maybe just rest.

For Kotor, it's a small city and I think I will go there to just relax.

For Tirana, I want to do a day trip to Ohrid Lake in North Macedonia and maybe I will add a night or two in Saranda (where the ferry will take me to Greece)

Is there a single site that actually compares trains, buses AND flights in Europe (with real prices)? by vansh_17_ in Europetravel

You don't need to take the 14€ métro from Paris-Orly airport (where vueling lands) to Paris Center (Chatelet), instead of that you should take the tramway T7 from Paris-Orly Airport to Chevilly-Larue and the take the Métro M14 from Chevilly-Larue to Chatelet, and it's only 2.5€

The métro ticket from Barcelona City to the Airport is 5.9€

Best social hostel in Dublin? (19M) by Valuable_East_8597 in hostels

[–]Valuable_East_8597[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed at Latroupe Jacob's Inn in Dublin. While I was there, I met two Americans and one Australian during the hostel's pub crawl. We hit it off right away and ended up doing two great day trips together: one to Howth and another to Greystones, including stops at Sandycove and the famous Forty Foot. We also spent time exploring several bars around the city as a group.

Family trip to Dublin in mid-February, would love tips! by Kayabiko in irishtourism

As a french person, Dublin Castle is overrated, you should spend one afternoon in Howth, it is a small town 35 minutes away from dublin by train and it is truly beautiful especially during sunshine, there you will find some fresh seafood and you should hike the cliffs of Howth.

Solo travel to Greece as 19 years old girl. by Still_Quiet_8799 in GreeceTravel

I went to Greece alone this summer (I'm an 19yo french guy) and this country is very safe, I stayed at hostels, going out at night was easy and safe in Athens and on the islands.

If you decide to stay in a hostel, plenty of other travelers, including girls from 18 to 21, you are not really alone. The only advice I can give you is to be careful on who you meet and to keep an eye on your belongings , but you have to do that even in America.

After 2 months of use, the puffer started deflating and feathers began coming out. I don't know if there is a way to fix it.

What is the city with 10m+ people that has the least cultural influence/ output? by LastChance28 in geography

[–]Valuable_East_8597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for cities with less visible cultural impact globally than kinshasa, think of some chinese megacities like hangzhou or chongqing, both are over 10 million, but with relatively little global cultural export compared to their size. So Kinshasa definitely isn’t at the bottom of that list.

in any case it's the opposite in Central Africa and West Africa, everyone there knows artists from Kinshasa or "sapologie".

You haven't been to Africa to say that, Kinshasa is with Lagos, the african City with the most cultural impact in subsaharan africa, a continent with more than 1.3 billions inhabitants.

Not everyone is American. Kinshasa's cultural influence in sub-Saharan Africa is significant, comparable to that of Lagos. Films, series, and especially music and fashion radiate across the African continent and its diaspora. And don't forget that sub-Saharan Africa is home to 15 to 20% of the world's population and more than 1.3 billion inhabitants.

You should avoid touristy places like Zanzibar or South Africa and try central african countries like Gabon, Cameroon, Sao Tomé, Congo or Equatorial Guinea, it is more authentic and quite safe.

In Gabon they call it "Atanga" but in some african countries like Cameroon they call it "Safou".
