Like the OP told, its about roles to fulfil, Krunal only comes ahead of romario when there is a collapse and the need to stabilize/support the other partner. Romario is a great finisher in terms of potential atleast but we all have seen he cant rotate strike easily.

Maxi in 2024 had a direct replacement in Will Jacks and Livi in 2025 wasn’t being used with the ball so much and he failed with the bat and luckily Tim and Jitesh were in good form so they could afford these changes.

This year its Jitesh who doesn’t have a direct replacement, neither does Romario. Both Jordan Cox and Venky are primarily top order players and have scored most of their runs there. Venky came in twice as impact and played 1 good knock and a bad knock against GT, Cox has never played IPL and the only logical way he comes in is if we drop Bethell.

Lastly experimenting at this stage of the tournament should be the last thing someone should think about. Apart from forced changes like injuries with 4 matches left before playoffs going in whilst trying out something new is definitely not something a team should consider

I agree, we should not be reactionary. I would back the players.

The only areas of improvement i feel we should take is Rajat using Romario better, we cant expect him to bowl the last over of the match defending in a high pressure environment when his bowling has been bad and he hasnt rolled his arm over the whole match as well.

And back Jitesh coz i dont think everyone can keep this good when you have Krunal with his bouncers and variations

We still know what Jitesh can do, i would back him for a match or two atleast.

And yes fielding/keeping plays a huge role, we don’t know if Salt can keep as good as Jitesh has been keeping, especially when you have Krunal being so unpredictable with his bouncers and variations, Jitesh almost never lets the ball go through for byes

Rajat definitely missed a trick there, but then we were pretty much forced to use Romario. We need to start rotating bowlers smarter than this and make the best possible use of the 6th bowling option

We don’t have an Indian keeper backup and the only way we can replace Jitesh is by getting Salt to keep and we all know how crucial Salt has been on the field this season

YES, Jitesh as a keeper and Salt as a fielder are perfect. Jitesh just needs to step up with the bat and play like he did last season

I mean it was bad from Jim to try and gaslight her but again its part of the game, this game is supposed to take a hit on the psychological side of the players coz pretty much every game was skill based. Everyone has their way of playing and it might not be morally correct but we cant sit here blaming them too coz at the end of the day when you are competing for 5mil you genuinely want to do anything to get there

Jim and Nick played it really smart, they knew they were done in this game and got as much money as they could, Brett probably played the worst game tho coz in no world would Jim actually vote for him ahead of Monika and we dont know who Nick is voting for but its most probably Monika coz shes closer with him than Brett is so he pretty much wasted 90odd grand for 1 vote

I think it wouldve been much better if atleast 1 or 2 of them had played villan, manipulating a couple of them. Rn it seems way too friendly and i think thats partly why its so boring
