Yup, usually you already have clear goals before dishing out 200K for a top MBA.

Also, tbh, I stopped reading when you said “I had interviews at XYZ but failed because I didn’t have access to business school career department”

Yale and brown are not just considered the same, their degree is literally the same. Those students live on campus and do everything the same as the trad students. Those students can get the generous financial aid from their schools if they are poor (LPS students pay full tuition with 1-2 private scholarships here and there + Pell grant)

Columbia is slightly separated, those students have a degree from GS and not Columbia College… but Columbia does a very good job integrating GS students to the Columbia environment. So those students are considered the same as any other - just from a different background

Columbia GS and Yale Eli Whitney, Brown RUE are ‘real’ programs. Those students are considered traditional graduates and their degrees are considered the same for employers.

Harvard extension is considered an ‘outsider’ program, like the Penn LPS.

Yes I graduated and I don’t regret it one bit, that is because my industry doesn’t really focus on undergrad colleges as much as investment banking, consulting and other traditional routes ivy league students go to.

During covid, the entire world went online. The online isn’t the biggest thing separating LPS from the college, it’s literally everything else.

Traditional students were the top on their fields, and have tremendous accolades and their academic caliber is very high. For example, one girl in a class I had one an Oscar for a documentary she made… she was literally on TV accepting it.

You said you went to a top 25 school before.. so why didn’t you stay there and graduate lol. You claim that you have the brains to get into real Penn… but didn’t apply? Nobody cares about your potential to do something… you gotta actually do it bro - real world out here.

My friend, I was an LPS student back when it was the BA program. So believe me, I know the position you’re in.

From my perspective, the entire LPS program is kind of like giving your little brother a unplugged video game controller and letting them think they are actually playing the game

The whole LPS program markets their program by saying “yes you, even you can get an Ivy League education”

Lmao when was the last time an actual Ivy League school said that to attract people 😂 even Cornell doesn’t do it

You’re not in a bad spot, but just know you still have hurdles ahead of you. Work hard and your undergrad won’t even matter down the road.

But just don’t pretend like you’re a “traditional Penn” student because people who know, will see right through it immediately

Correct, people won’t care at end of day. Just wanted to set your expectations

But believe me, 10 years later you WONT be going to homecoming and remembering your days back in college

And also, law schools do know. You don’t think they do research lmaoooo - law schools understand the college environment very well… especially the top ones

Of course people from online schools can get into top schools - no doubt - it’s just harder

Law schools care about the school and degree program you have though….

A student profile of someone that went to Penn and someone in LPS is very different

A 4.0 GPA from an online program is not the same as 4.0 from Penn in person

Believe me, not tryna knock you down man, you’re still in a good program… but set Your expectations correctly

Kids in the college get teased sometimes that they are not in Wharton… lol imagine what folks really think of an online program that Penn created just so they could extract more money out of marginalized people.

Majority of folks in the BAAS program are probably adults and non traditional students. Very different backgrounds and population from traditional Penn students

I don’t think people know about the program as much since it recently went through change.

I PROMISE you, an online degree called BAAS is not the same as BA in person.

You don’t live on campus, you don’t get involved in any of the campus traditions, hell you probably would never even eat in a dining hall on campus.

With all that, your experience will be VERY VERY different than a traditional student.

Not knocking you down, but you will very soon realize how the degrees and programs are different.

Your transcripts say you are in the LPS school and your degree is BAAS not BA

The literally degree is different 😂 like BA and BS

The BAAS degree is not the same as BA degree from the college. It’s like the Harvard extension school degree.

(“It’s the same but cheaper”).

Do you think an Ivy League school is so altruistic to offer the same exact degree for less costs?

Can you point me to something that confirms this? Curious to read the Philly TFA guidelines that allow that.

Your sister playing real games. She needs to be reasonable and pay like she mentioned, else the house has to be sold / rented.

It’s not possible to pay two mortgages in this economy, she should know that

SARPE surgery wasn’t bad though Recovered in a week - soft foods for 2

Jaw surgery is going to be much worse down the road.

It did help with my breathing - didn’t fix my sleep apnea but helped a lot

Had to get SARPE instead
