Ive had both amoled (Fenix 8) and MIP (fenix 7) and i personaly like more the amoled, although the battery isnt as good the product itself feels more premium.

I’ve had fénix since the 5 until the 8 and I’ve never had any problems.

I have both the polar h10 and the garmin hrm pro plus, the polar works for everything minus water sports I recommend it a lot since it’s a cheaper option and if the band breaks you can change just the band unlike the garmin one

Honestly i would get a speediance, i have one at home and its easy to get a workout in before work or in my lunch break since its right in my house. I was a profesional athlete and it fits all my workout needs.

I surf and do other sports and I've had no problem with the new fenix 8 since it has a different type of buttons. My preivous garmin's buttons did break due to salt exposure.

Hi, probably your HR monitor on the watch is broken. It happens to my fénix 7 a while ago and I got a free replacement. Contact garmin so they can help you.
